They are balancing the books selling of crap that was never good enough though so it all looks good enough.
Yeah, they made an investment. City are just spilling money.

We could have a billion pound in the bank, still rather us sign no one than spend for the sake of spending. Trust the club and those in charge to sign the RIGHT players.
NoHave we bought anyone yet?
If we want to be even slightly fair to Chelsea we would say they have done much better than city as the underage academy product.
A lot of the players are kind of genuine products rather than poaching kids left and right.
They have had that bit longer at it though.

They also manage to get very good money for their averse players.
36m abraham
30m zouma
25m tomori
31m morata
13m pasalic (who?)
40m matic
20m ake
10m begovic
Then you have the 2-5m loan fees for players like zouma, batsuayi, bakayoko for the last 4 years etc.
Have we bought anyone yet?
Bobbys out for a month or two and all.I agree, but we are on a knife edge of getting ****ed over again this season.
Fabinho gets injured, what do we do. Gini wasnt the best player in the world, but he was incredibly consistent and never got injured. However I trust Klopp to judge Elliott correctly.
In January, we will lose both Mane and Salah to the ACON and we are up against it again.
We are just a couple injuries away from another disaster.

Yeah but morata cost 70mil etc etc.
The extremely useful sales of youth products they have loaned out constantly etc has certainly given them some lee way to hide the silly losses.
Yup but as learned from Tobes who says it numerous times, the outlay is split over the length of the contract, where as the income isn’t.
Atletico went and got Griezmann back, so that's Suarez and him to face in the champions League

I've had a read through the last pages and I'm struggling to see how people can be happy with our transfer activity.
It's like a battered wife being happy with a new partner because he doesn't hit her as hard.
Because we where in the **** 10 years ago, we must now except that Brentford are more powerful in the transfer market than us.
Fsg didn't bring us any crowns, Klopp and a **** load of luck did.
I cant quite understand how anybody on here can be happy with how we are going about our business. If anybody questions it, they immediately get stuck with the comeback that they want to be debt riddled like utd or a plaything like city.
