One of the big problems I see is that in a few years time we are going to have to replace alot of the team at once as they're mostly the same/similar ages.

Going to cost and it would mean alot of new players all at once.

Would much prefer us to have the replacements being introduced over time.
Jota, Elliott, TAA, Konate, Gomez and Jones are the only first team players under 24.

The problem is that young good players expect to play and their agents demand it. When Haaland went to Dortmund, we had Salah, Mane and Bobby absolutely on fire. We couldn’t have guarantee him a start.

A lot of these are fishing exercises by agents. We probably do track then but dortmund show us what too many too young looks like.

They are unbalanced. Bags of talent but are nowhere near the level as they dont have the tough spine.

This year or teams spine looks very very strong again and the creative elements are in the full back slots again.

This year without injuries we will go well imo. Fitness is there. Pressing game is there. Defence is there. Goals might be there.

Next year? It'll need work

But equally you look at that lot and say

That in 3 or 4 years is perfectly sound team bags of talent hopefully but the issue is as said before up top. We simply dont have them. This is where the money needs to go fairly soon.

Im sure a klopp and edwards have a plan. I don’t think klopp would leave this squad to age for 2/3 more years and then disappear without leaving a plan in place.

We will see. It's the prime error managers make. He is also very loyal to his men.

Well, after last year anyone who had come in would have walked it. Jota did well so if the other types have not the confidence to go it's a black mark on them imo.

Yes you can do a zaha on it but in the end he was never making it at a big club

The dortmund challenge though is a good one. Assured cl mostly. You know you will play as you said but it's a decent level.

I don't take much notice of rumours etc anymore because since Klopp arrived, the media have not got a clue what we're up to.

My Malen comment was more about what I thought would happen rather expressions or rumours.

Just sticking this in there but if we bid really then we are dependant on the selling club and player agent from keeping quiet and it's almost impossible

When psg are playing ronaldo, messi, neymar and mbappe against some semi pros in france will people finally cotton onto the fact the ffp is completely broken and needs immediate fixing.

Get the odd 2 or 3 million a week in wages there, ignoring all the other players at that club in a league where the tv deal collapsed.

I'm sure the club is aware of this.
When the older players - 28-31 group are past it those you mention will be in or entering their prime and their places will be taken by up and coming lads who we may not even know about yet. This obviously isn't taking into account new signings of any age made over the next few seasons.
It would be daft to let the squad age but I don't see us doing that. Atm those older ones are our best players so we use them while we can. There's a bit of mileage left in them yet.
