I dont even know what that means.

Chelsea havent been reliant on Roman for nearly a decade.
Like you have no soul as a club. Its all bought and paid for, no struggle, no earning ****, no manager affinity cos the millions you spend dont allow for patience.. whenever you're not on your lates transfer embargo that is .

all of it just handed to ya overnight by roman.

Im glad you beat the other basterdisation of a football club for big ears last year tho.

No club has a soul, not in this day and age. The fans provide the soul. Ours fans have besmirched our club a few times for sure. But nothing compared to the behaviour of some other fan bases, which is all I will say on that.

Chelsea posted profits of £32m in 2020. That may not exactly be true, but even if it isnt, its a lot better than the £120m losses both PSG and City posted.
God knows what Barca posted, I havent checked

Barca were up to 120mil losses officially and a billion in debt.

So the fact your "debt" is owed to a holding company he owns and he converted it into "equity" to wipe it away and fix any ffp issues instantly means nothing?
Yes, we took a lot of money from him, especially in the first 5 years, which he has written off, but since the 2010-11 season, we have been mostly self reliant.
Most clubs bitch and moan that their owners dont put their money where their mouth is.
Ask Newcastle or Arsenal how they like their lack of owner investment

There's a difference between running up debt and having it magically forgiven and a club that financially independent and no amount of pointing and shouting look over there to distract will change that.

No, both of those apply, so how can there be a difference?
We are a club who had large debt written off, and now we are a club who is financially independent.

Oh come on. :)

Mate you know clearly there's a massive difference.

If this **** went on in just about any other industry there's be inquiry with charges brought.

Your club have been allowed play a dodge to rack up debt and have it magically vanish while other clubs like for example spurs have to borrow from banks and pay it back over time to fund what they want to do.

And you'll continue to shovel money out for whatever latest trinket abramovich wants and continue to sack managers the second the result are not stunning and then magic the consequences away because neither the fa nor uefa want to solve it really

The tax man is delighted with the flood of cash that comes in as well.

Scousers and Spuds always go on about Chelsea and City "buying" trophies yet if you ask them to pick a team from the combined squads you would find Scousers pick around 9 Liverpool players and Spuds (4 years ago when they had "the best in his position" all over the park) would have been the same <laugh>

Oh I know, its kinda funny, the similarities between the two sets of fans.
The resentment runs deep.
For example, I dont particularly expect rival teams to blow smoke up Chelsea's ass, but when we won our last CL, AFTV had an episode about it, the United stand had an episode about it, True Geodie had a whole stream, Redmen TV, nothing, not a ****ing sausage they didnt even mention it in their regularly scheduled episode <laugh>

You won the CL and instead of celebrating you went looking for validation from a youtube fan channel? Maybe you are the one with a chip on your shoulder.

When we won the CL I was drunk for 2 days, watched that awful match twice and watched the parade. Couldnt give a **** what rivals were saying as it was the culmination of a hard fought and draining season. Enjoy your wins and stop looking for validation

That's a commitment to subscribe to all of those

In fairness bod is one of the very best lads on here so it ain't about taking swipes it just is what it is.

As I've said to other fans all the big clubs are the very same. It doesn't matter to villa which takes their best player. Utd took Yorke for example, utd won all the trophies in the 90s and half the 00s. Then Chelsea and then City and really they don't make a distinction.

Imo that's foolish of them as that attitude has allowed a two level prem to emerge despite the more fair distribution of TV money. They could all get outraged however when their money was threatened by a super league.

These clubs and fans don't seem to see the lucky place they have compared to Spain where a minor club simply cannot win anything and will never be able to win anything due to the TV distribution.

The point about the oil clubs is they are pushing it far beyond TV money or global fan bases into a point where in effect fans, stadia, or revenue simply doesn't matter. They will buy everything for ego.

We hate utd more, but utd at least had a logical reason for dominating. They earned the corn, they spent it wisely and did hard work and had foresight to extend their advantage when stadium.money mattered.

City were handed a commonwealth games stadium. As in handed. From that the billionaires sniffed round and since then its been fake sponsor deals and largely unlimited spending

West ham had the same luxury given but not the owners

Both imo really really wrong. The Olympic stadium should have cost 300mil or 400mil for the club who wanted it. But they ineffective got it for nothing and that club shows what "ordinary" spivs can do with a club compared to oil states.

West ham are where man city ought to be at best.

Cheslea are the same, except you have not even bothered to really develop a stadium and are even more profligate with players and managers

Poor effort to throw a bomb in the middle there.

Considering Inter Milans known financial woes does anyone else think there may actually be some truth in the Barella rumours .

Who knows.

The Chinese actually closed their home club down totally so if 100million whatevers can't cover the shortfall then they must be in massive trouble indeed.

they are apparently to the extent they have taken out a loan of 300m to tide them over however if they default on the loan the equity group who hold the paper take control of the club .
