It's definitely happening mate (famous last words though!). All of the local journo's are tweeting it now. Should be wrapped up pretty soon.
Exciting signing IMO and is a very typical signing that Edwards / Klopp have made over the years - £35m for a very talented but relatively unknown defender, who ticks all the boxes. Tall, quick, strong, aerially dominant, used to playing in a high line, good on the ball. Could be the perfect partner for VVD, and our future mainstay in defence.

My only worry is the lack of games he played this year for RBL. Just cos of injury or were other CBs preferred?

Yep, it's literally due to injuries and managing his minutes. I think it was 18/19 season where he really stood out and was brilliant (probably where the interest first started) but then injuries screwed him and then Upamencano became the new 'flavour of the month'.
Between Konate, Gomez and Matip, we should be able to manage a single CB partner for Van Dijk.

I read an article yday with Klopp saying he sees Davies a bit like robbo when he 1syt joined and could take months to get up to speed.
Who knows if that's true tho, the quote was. just wondering if Klopp means it.
Injured then couldn't get back in the team as the other 2 were playing well.

I still think we need another CB because VVD and Gomez both need to be eased back into the first team and we have to manage their minutes carefully. Matip is injury prone and we need to see if Konate is robust enough. One more decent CB should do the job IMO.
