Origi is for me a really frustrating player as he has the attributes to be really good cover for the front 3 but far too often he seems half hearted about it all .
Brewster is a pure CF & Minamino is still struggling to come to terms with PL so wide cover may well become an issue . I wonder if the Thiago rumours are true that it signals we may be looking at a change in the system in at least some games .

agreed on origi. And even more frustrating because he scores big goals which make you think he can do more on a consistent basis. Doesn’t help that doesn’t get a proper run in the team though.

see minamino would be much better suited to firmino a role than played out wide. He likes to drop in deep and get involved rather than have any kind of pace to run in behind. Wouldn’t mind him getting more chances in that role and playing training with firmino can only help develop that

Wouldn't argue with that bit he still doesn't look up to scratch atm so I'd keep Origi rather than risk it

If we want to play the same way with a like for like replacement then mini is it. I think i may be in the minority but I'm gappy with what I've seen from him.

Hes mostly played in weakened teams and it hasnt quite come off, but you can see its there. He has the touch and maybe more importantly the speed of thought for him to step in for firmino.

In the central role I'd have him playing ahead of divock every chance he can get.

He was brilliant at RBS, I have no doubt he'll improve quickly under Klopp as he gets used to the team and picks up the language. Not every Klopp players come in and make an immediate impact

I never said otherwise, I said he's not ready.

I think Taki is definitely improving and getting sharper. However, I do think he needs to beef up a bit as he can get easily shrugged off the ball.

The key for us is to bring in someone who can play out wide, in similar fashion to Salah and Mane i.e. pace, direct, gets into the box. That is crucial going into the next season because we simply need another option.

So still need CB cover
Would also like to see some wide forward cover but have no idea whom .
Personally find the Thiago one a bit of an odd one considering his age and the fact CM is one of our more stocked positions . If the transfer goes through I assume CM outgoing(s) will follow .

Hes never going to be ready if divock continually plays upfront and he gets left on the bench.

Hes better than origi, better to put him in and let him find his feet, than playing divock just to be safe
