Retaining the title is more harder than winning it, Arsenal, Chelsea and others that won the premiership title had never retained it.This is the more reason we need to be stronger than last season. In another words buy good players.
I don't agree that retaining the title is harder than winning it. 30 years wait is testament to that. I would concede that it's maybe as hard.

Read a few articles suggesting Sancho would prefer a move to Liverpool. Very good player but not sure about the £100m+ price tag. He's one of those difficult ones; sign him and there are naive expectations, don't sign him and he could be brilliant for a rival for a decade or more
Check the achieve, I said it many times, when you truly love someone, it's difficult to divorce the person. I love Liverpool.

don’t forget that they had a huge positive net spend last year (circa £170m) - they have another £100m to splash I reckon
Don't know where people get this from.
They bought Kepa and Jorginho 2 years ago for big money.
They then had the impending transfer ban and bought Pulisic for big money. Then in the transfer ban they still bought Kovacic.
They only sold Hazard and Courtois of note in this time. Thats still a massive expenditure of nearly £100m.
Morata now goes, but they sign Ziyech, Werner, probably Haverts and again its another £100m spent.
Net spend was circa £100m but i was just taking issue with the will start to spend
ps their net spend aint that bad this season as the lucky bastards already had an agreed deal to sell Morata for at least £50m
Before this summer their net spend in the last 2 years has been about £8m.
They’ve bought 2 players so far but have over £50m coming back for Morata.
They’ve been self sustaining since 2014.
They posted £100m loss in their 2019 accounts
They made £60m profit the previous year.

£80m 2016
PS my guess is that the 2020 would have shown a big profit but now who knows .
