We are going to get £m175 for winning the title, and should spend at least £m75 to strengthen the squad.
Keita halting Wijnaldum contract? Liverpool are in a pickle when it comes to the Wijnaldum contract. If they agree a new deal for the Dutchman then it has to be on the best possible terms for the club; it will likely be his last contract given that he is soon to turn 30-years old. If the Reds don’t agree a new contract then they will be looking to sell him this summer in order to cash in on him before his value starts to plummet as he gets older. Given that Naby Keita could keep Gini out of the team next season, talks with Wijnaldum over a new contract may have become more complicated – why give him a mega bucks deal to just sit on the bench when you can make a fortune selling him? It would be great for the fans if we kept Gini – he’s scored some vital goals and always runs his heart out – but we don’t pay his wages. Only time will tell what the club are going to do about this one.
Must keep Gini. Prob the underrated midfielder in the squad. Does a lot of the horrible work and keeps the ball so well. Improved massively in last couple years and helps us give that control and composure as well as chipping in with the odd goal when compared to Hendo/fab/Milner.
Agree, I think he's more important than the other CMs. He's the only one that can keep hold of possession no matter the situation.
Yes, he is experienced, and can help our youth players, he can also be of help to Keita. He wants assurances that he will be playing regularly before he puts pen to paper. Must not be sold now!.
If true, and I sincerely doubt it, then he's either stupid or got someone (probably his agent) in his ear! He been playing the majority of our games ffs, does he intend to stop putting effort in our something? I'd never give any player a guarantee of playing, every single player needs to earn their place no matter who they are.
Yeah I dont believe it. I assume there is discussions regarding contract length and price considering his age. But our midfield rotate regularly in the most part, which im sure Klopp would love to do across the board.
So what do we know so far lads Lovren has gone and we are sniffing around that lad in Germany. lallana has gone and his place in the squad will go to Jones. Klopp has said as much. Keita was our best player since returning from lockdown. If he stays fit, he will be real quality. Minamino needs more time Shaq will likely leave.... Persistent rumours about Salah too. we still need a left back (every year for the last decade)
Roy Hodgson once sold the wrong player by mistake during his time at Liverpool. The 72-year old has enjoyed a long, respectable managerial career in the game but his stint at Anfield was a monumental disappointment and he lasted less than a season on Merseyside - leaving by mutual consent with the club four points off the relegation zone. There were plenty of questionable decisions made by Hodgson as Liverpool boss, but getting rid of the wrong player really does take the cake. The story goes that Hodgson drafted in Paul Konchesky, who he'd worked with at Fulham, in the summer transfer window. The deal saw Liverpool youngsters Lauri Dalla Vale and Alexander Kacaniklic head in the opposite direction. please log in to view this image https://www.sportbible.com/football...wrong-player-by-mistake-at-liverpool-20200730
tbh neither player has made it, so in the long run it really didnt matter. Konchesky on the other hand is something we should never forgive
I like him, but he's not that value and they got relegated, crazy money that. Still I guess it helps Pep im his quest to spend near half a billion on defenders alone at City.
