How many world class player would you say we have today? Here’s my very biased views:
Allison
VvD
Robbo
Mane
Salah
Bobby
These are all world class in their respective position.
TAA has to be on the cusp of it and Fabinho is also improving to the point where he is the first player on the team sheet.
Perhaps a bit harsh on our other midfielders tbh.....there are much better #8’s but how many would run through a brick wall for you?
So look at this and we know where we should add - perhaps one midfielder and then one forward so that we rotate 4 world class players. Then it’s FB cover and one CB slot up for grabs.....although Gomez has every right to claim it....

Alisson and vvd are clear, absolute worldies.
And i am talking I couldn't give a bollocks about bigging up our players as usual. I'm calling it like it is. Those two are absolute top class.
Robertson is a hard worker, competent defender but it is his unending stamina rather than technical ability that singles him out. One of the best but not a worldie.
Taa on the other hand is different. Hes not the best defender but my god his passing is pure sex at times. His crossing is as good as Gerrard or Beckham, his passing is astonishing.
Mane has stepped up last season but isn't world class.
Firmino is there for his work andbintelligrnce. I wouldn't call him world class striker but he doesn't actually play striker.
A year ago salah was on top. This year hes merely brilliant. World class? Probably just below it.
Fabinho is fine but hes not world class, just isnt.
Gomez could be if he gets a full season in.
All fair comments. There are too many variables for this to be black and white. For me there isn’t a better LB in europe than Robbo. There are better RB’s (just). Show me a fulse 9 better than Bobby - there may be a couple but I can’t think of them. Show me better players than mane and Salah in their respective positions that do what they do for the team.
There are plenty of better midfielders, I agree.

City are a disgrace with their over-inflated sponsorships funding the biggest spending spree ever seen. Chelsea were awful, but still not close to this. Worst they'll get is another pointless fine (fining a club who are known to spend billions at the drop of a hat? Really?) and a slight reduction in squad size for Europe (which makes little difference). Even a season ban from Europe does **** all, they'll just be back the next season with another wonder squad.
Currently yes but Robertson could get injured or lose fitness and be half the player. It is what it is. He is imo at the peak of what he can do.
As for firmino... hes not even a false 9 really. Hes just there.. where ever. More 10 or 8 than a 9. He does what he does. I would argue that Suarez was twice the player tbh but it's moot at this stage as Suarez is going off the cliff.
There's several top players better than Mane for sure. Salah needs to up his game to make that top bracket. It's that 5-10% where the shots go in and he doesn't look a greedy ****.
On mane, he's at his best drifting.his heading off the two full backs has been nothing short of amazing this year. That transformed him for good to top striker goal levels. He still misses far too much shooting. Hazard for example would be top tier.
I don't want to disparage any of them but we don't have a team of worldies. We have a team, a carefully crafted one that fits together to deliver more than sum of parts. Vvd and alisson imo are head and shoulders above the rest of the globe in their positions. The others all are at a high level. Taa, gomez, Robertson, fabinho, mane, firmino, salah. That's a very balanced group of hard working and high performing players.. their work rate and drive is where it's at.
Henderson as per gets forgotten. His fitness is a bit questionable but his work is not and playing more forward allows him to face the way he plays best cos he's **** in the turn.
Milners drive and work and nouse is what brings him to the table.
It's sheer will and work that makes them perform. That stems from klopp.
Alisson and vvd were not recognised as world class til this cl win imo. People say I g why is Ederson not brazils no 1. ....**** like that.
Klopp sets the tone for me. There's players in that group of 7 that could be jobbing midtable but for the platform and belief klopp has given them. Mane, suspect attitude, Utd looked and said no. Robertson relegated with hull, firmino.. no real pace, salah [HASHTAG]#zanjinhoschelseareject[/HASHTAG], gomez, one footed, fabinho no legs..... klopps got so much out of them.
People question klopp resting taa. Nobody was questioning when we ended on 97 points, he got so many assists and all but beat Barca with his assists. He finished so strong this season.
I may be wrong, but doesn't the records just show nobody now for the titles Armstrong cheated to win?

Yup. And I'd be fine with that for the PL. I actually wouldn't want to be awarded any title on default (although athletics bump other places up and award new winners on default) I want to win it 'properly' - without state money play things for competition.
That's right....and to put that period in cycling into perspective (Armstrong, Festina etc.) there was only one rider in those 21 podium places (7 years) who
was riding clean, as far as is known. I can't remember the guys name atm

Not a chance that hazard would put the effort in that Mane does. This is where it gets subjective. On the ball, Hazard is better, obviously. Ask him to work like a Trojan every game....Nah....
Agree though, without JK it all falls apart. What we have is a well oiled machine with carefully selected components, bought for the ability to work within the machine and not as a stand alone component.
