Not sure why people are entertaining this rumour. Spanish and British press are both horrible when it comes to rumours. The Spanish in particular really seem to target someone to push for a move, or equally to force them out.

By all accounts he isn't doing that bad, is happy to be living in Barcelona (who wouldn't), gets paid a crap load and is winning things.

You sure? I thought we’d scored more goals this season than last. I know Salam’s numbers are down a bit but mane has upped his scoring record this season.

They had a purple patch, esp firmino right out to end of season.

I looked at league table by date for 1st March and did that graph and the goals were not far off but defence was way way better

Well last year we scored 84 in the league, this year so far we’ve scored 70. That’s 2.21 per game last year and 2.25 this year so about the same.

Last year salah got 32, firm 15 and mane 10, 57 in total.
This Salah, 17, mane 17, firm 11. 45 in 31.

1.5 per game last year and 1.45 per game this year

i wouldn’t exactly call that ‘far fewer’

oh and as a % last year they got 67% of our goals, this year they’ve got 64% of our goals
Ok. Drop the "far". Will that do?

Well.... the midfield scored hardly any but coutinho scored lots up yo january last year, just saying weve scored near the total in league cos i looked
I was just discussing it. You said we're more reliant on the front 3 this year, and I pointed out that the rest of the team have made as much of a contribution proportionally (if not more so) than last season.
I wasn't trying to say any more than that.
If we are missing him, it will be in creating more opportunities for the front 3 rather than his own goal tally. It's the void we expected Keita to fill, but he just hasn't got going yet.

I think that some are overplaying Coutinho's importance, that's all. He's a good player, and having good players is a good thing, but his loss hasn't significantly diminished us overall.
We're still doing rather well, aren't we?

Ok..... I'd have to look again at numbers

Liverpool news: Alberto Moreno flies abroad to seal transfer WITHOUT telling Jurgen Klopp
LIVERPOOL left-back Alberto Moreno is in Rome with the view to putting pen-to-paper on a pre-contract deal with Lazio - but he hasn’t told Jurgen Klopp or the club

We’re missing both goals and chances created from midfield this season - coutinho Ox and Can supported the front 3 last season.

Front 3 more reliant on creating for themselves this season.

Exactly this. When was the last time one of our midfielders scored in open play. Drove through midfield and shot, scored a free kick....threaded a brilliant through ball or opened up the game with a brilliant ball. I think Fab is capable but doesn’t often let fly....but Ox and Couts did contribute last season and we haven’t had the threat from midfield since.

All without the 'fill your boots' CL group games too

Speculation surrounding a potential swap deal involving Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has re-emerged and looks to actually be gaining a bit of pace.

Last month, the front page of Italian newspaper Tuttosport revealed that the Serie A champions had offered Liverpool £44million plus Dybala for the ‘Egyptian King’ – an offer which was politely declined.

Now, cited by the Daily Mail, Tuttomercatoweb report that Juventus are still eyeing a deal for Salah, with director of football Fabio Paratici said to be ‘extremely keen’ to add the 26-year-old to the club’s already-impressive attacking repertoire.

Despite Juve’s reported interest, Salah only signed a new bumper five-year contract at Anfield last July and the Italian club’s primary target is Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina.
