Not fussed about Shaq either way. Personally wouldn’t be my choice, but £12m isn’t much of a risk these days and would certainly be a better option to play there than Lallana. If he doesn’t work out, prob move him on similar money. Bound to be someone in Europe that would take him.
Attitude, never know. Klopp would have done his homework on that part and spoken to numerous people I’m sure. We seem to have a good group of players with no big egos so if he can fit in well then he is obviously a talented footballer so would do well

Lots of criticism of Shaqiri but I would say this. If the Serbian fans were goading him from the sidelines and given the ethnic cleansing that his family must have witnessed in what is recent times....then I’d understand why he wanted to ram it back down their throats.
If what he (they) did was unprovoked, it was just stupid but I guess it’s not so simple for us to judge them as we or our families have never been forced from our own country amid ethnic cleansing and the worst war crimes this side of WW2.
Obviously I’d prefer politics to be kept apart from football but I won’t judge anyone in this case as we do not know the facts (yet).

It's easy for us in the West to moralise why people politicise things in football, but when incredibly horrible things happen to you and your countrymen, then it's not too difficult to understand why they do it. Sadly we are still living in a world where ethic cleansing goes on, and for some people, would gladly want to bring it back where they are.
Humans can be more savage than animals, at least animals have a reason.

I don't agree with doing it on the pitch but i can understand why he did it. I hope that none of our family and friends never have to go through what his family and friends went through.
We had to pay someone to cross out the name "Gerrard" on the back and write the new one.

I can understand it, most of us in this country can hardly imagine the horrors that others have had to go through, and the fact that they hold deep resentment is no surprise.
The only thing I can say is that reconciliation is the only effective way forward, and sport should be one of those areas that leads the way in such matters.
.I agree reconciliation is the only way to move forward. We are privileged to be living here in peace but sometimes we forget that horrific things can happen to those living in other places. Sometimes people try and dehumanise people for their own selfish/political ends but ultimately we are all human beings and can end up in the same situation as those suffering.
Going back to Shaqiri and Xhaka, they will have to be made into an example otherwise we'll have others dong the same thing, some of which will demonstrate less noble causes.
