I'm sure Klopp could sort him out.
dunno. he turned us down twice. failed in inter and went to stoke and they have been relegated after him being there long enough for someone to buy him

I know many would disagree on here but wouldn't mind Shaqiri now that Stoke are relegated. He has great technical ability and would be a solid back-up.

His attitude stinks. Likes to be the big fish.God no. Unwanted at Bayern, went to Inter for a year and the only team who wanted him after that was Stoke. No one has tried to get him since, I think he has an attitude or other issues
Guess so but don't think we were in for him the second time round.
He got on the pitch lolStill better than Ings and Solanke. At least Origi scored goals for us.

Shaqiri didn’t turn us down - Bayern refused to sell to us at that price. Which is a shame because the talent is clearly there.
Apparantly he has a relegation release clause of €14m - worth a punt as a squad option.
Quoted as wanted to stay at Bayern.
Tbh I wouldn't care If it was 4mil. I would not be interested.
I respectfully disagree, sire.

Yeah, not at all a Klopp player. Does it when he wants to and there seems to be little 'team ethos' in his gameNot a Klopps player
What we'd like and what we can get are two different things - at least in the short term. No offence intended, but I think too many people confuse fantasy football games with reality. We're not assembling a squad on paper, and we can't just identify what we need and go out and get it.You are confirming what I said about our squad depth which needs to match City’s.
On the question of first 11 you are burying your head in the sand if you think because we beat City’s twice it means that we are the benchmark for quality. We beat City because they are the perfect opposition for us. Even Pep recognised that when he played us but was unwilling to change. They play the way we want anyone playing us to play but unfortunately for us very few teams do that and most teams play like Mourinho’s when they play us.

City may be the benchmark, but we can't match their spending. This is the Catch-22, the only way to get there is through consistent performances at the top for a few years, and that is difficult without the spending power.
If we win the CL it will help, and even getting to the final will do us a world of good, but thinking we can just go out and assemble a squad like City have is pie-in-the-sky stuff. We need to be more realistic.

Not in total disagreement but when we say the bench mark we don’t of course mean that teams will reach that standard. But they are the ones to catch. And the quality of their squad (not their costs) is the one to aspire to.
Let’s be clear about the depth of the squad, of course we won’t have the expenditure of City but aspiring to improve the quality of the squad to come closer to City’s is not dreaming of the impossible. How much did we spend for Salah? How much did the mancs team or the squad led by Ferguson to the title in 12/13 cost? They were only the third or fourth most expensive in the league I think. And Leicester’s?
It may be difficult but certainly not fantasy. Otherwise we might as well all go home.
