That second was very harsh.Only saw part of your game yesterday - thought his second yellow was harsh?

they were playing 3-4-3.
3 Cbs, 2 wingbacks, 2 cms, 3 up top.
To be honest, it was pretty easy for them. Doucoure and Capoue played well but they pressed us up top with intensity and their back line was pretty high up. Kante and Bakayoko were pretty much sitting on top of our back 3 and not offering anything going forward so we didn't really have anything offensively in the middle of the field. It's been our usual if you press us high as we have no pace in behind. Hazard can't outrun anyone in a sprint (dribbling it is something different), Pedro seems to have slowed down and willian likes to drop deep.
Any team who presses us has us in trouble. So basically without kante or bakayoko running out as they can't turn into space and have dodgy control/passing (Bakayoko was particularly terrible last night, they nearly scored twice out of his poor passing and got booked twice by being dispossessed) we play it along the back and then lose it with either cahil hoofing it, courtois hoofing it or luiz trying a long ball which he's not managed to do all season (his long passings gone to ****).
Then we went down to ten so they became even more dominant. The only time they looked troubled was when Giroud came on and Hazard was able to drop deeper and get the ball and run at them. Even then you can't do it as a one man player.
Doucoure has looked great all season though, thats the sort of midfielder we should be targetting

You mean first? 2nd was pretty nailed on I thought, first seemed very harsh.
Never rely on others to help you out.i've seen them not given. I guess it's soft because of the first 1. Player isn't going anywhere, wasn't even that late.
I think we'll get 4th. Just need to rotate our players a bit better and start a striker. I actually think Soton will help us out just this weekend and the arse will beat spuds to help us out

Can't remember, I was in and out of that game. Thought it was the second, though. You mean first? 2nd was pretty nailed on I thought, first seemed very harsh.

Some Italian agent saying the Can deal to Juve is done (Echo)
**** him, He's run his contract down so we get **** all for him and at the same time been saying he might sign a new contract (when he probably was never going to do)Some Italian agent saying the Can deal to Juve is done (Echo)

At least he hasn't downed tools like a lot of players do these days. He's still giving 100% which is good to see.
His contract is up so he has every right to leave. He owes us nothing, he's not a local lad so we don't exactly mean much to him.
There are the hidden gains in terms of a player being a crucial element in bringing success, and therefore money, to the club - though they're more difficult to evaluate.his 100% is a relative term though.
But i agree we paid 10mil as componsation to leverkusen or whoever for thier loss and agreed a 5 year spell.
This is the reality the people do seem to forget. Transfer fees are compensation payments for loss of a player's services.
Players (despite amortisation) are not assets on a balance sheet like a capital item is in a company making widgets. Pleayers are contracted staff providing a service.
They are in fact only worth something if someone wants to pay you compensation for the loss of their services
This is why alarm bells (IMO) should right when people at a club start talking about increasing the value of the balance sheet through player values. Rafa did this to justify his existance. The market has the vast majority of impact on this.
My view is a player is your for the 5 years of his deal. then all bets are off so the fee paid must be recouped during the 5 years. be it in performance related fees (trophies) or imaging activities etc.
My view is ronaldo for 80 odd mil.. made sense to real madrdi as a business deal over 5 years. Bale 85? not so sure but they thought it did.
Neymar? sorry no not over 5 years. 200mil?
Coutinho? Madness
Messi on 500k per week at 29/30? hmmmmm.. vanity.
If you are paying 75mil for a defender... well... you better be able to make 75mil off him in imaging rights for 5 years... don't depend on 35mil coming back in 3 years when you sell on etc.
Probably has been really, no big surpriseThought its been done for months
