A round up of todays outs

Loans
Flanagan, Bolton
Harry Wilson, Hull
Ejaria, Sunderland
Markovic, Anderlecht

Sold
Lloyd Jones, Luton

Interesting list.

Flanagan.. how he got bolton to take him is beyond me. I know they are i nthe relegation spots but he's not even championship standard tbh.

Hull are level with bolton as well so really Wilson either is stellar there or he is ****ed. he has to walk into those kind of sides if he's to play at prem level

Ejaria... meh... that was just sending him out before he is sold. Again they are rock bottom in championship and i doubt he will get many games.

Markovic to anderlecht is interesting as newkie were sending someone there and it fell through so him going there is a surprise but the sooner that 20mil loss is written off the better imo. He's only 23 now his wages are not crippling or anything but he has 2 years left and SURELY he'd just take a move now anywhere. Why nobody buys him is basically damning isn't it.

jones... again. never making it. his contract was nearly up so the fee must have been absolutely tiny. They are going to be league 1 next year i think and its a good move and his level at best. Its nice to see them recovering after thier financial issues even if some of their fans were complete dicks about that time they asked us to wave our FA cup fee etc.

Who else wanted Lacezette or Pierre?

No one.

But it is funny how everyone who doesn’t have CL seems to attract players that no one else wanted.

United got Pogba and Zlatan I recall couple of years ago.

Arsenal got Laca, Auba and Mkhi.

Didn’t Chelsea get Kante and David Luiz last year?

all 3 of those have much better qualifying record than us plus 2 are in London & that makes it much easier to sign players.
The CL idea only comes into play when you can almost guarantee it , though that is going to be hard in England with the way things are going ,though other reasons sometimes play a part in the decision

ntonio Conte has revealed he is worried about Ross Barkley despite having signed the midfielder just three weeks ago.

The former Everton ace sealed a £15million transfer to Chelsea earlier this month, putting pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year deal.

Barkley made his Blues debut in Chelsea's 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat a week ago - and got off to an uneasy start when he upset Conte on the touchlines.

Conte ordered Barkley to disrobe about ten times before the order finally clicked with his new signing, leaving the Italian riled.

Suarez is a good example.

Coutinho and Mane were relative unknowns at the time we signed them. Not top class talents.

that took us years to develop. even Suarez took a year and a half to stop biting and start playing for his Barca no.

we got vvd in january.

all that's proven by all of these names going to clubs is business can be done in January if you want to.

Yep - and we need to be utilising the January windows a lot better. And that includes not selling our best players.

IMO the best way to use January is to really target those younger players the FSG model is supposedly based around and go after them.

Coutinho is a good example. Not playing for club, club might think about building war chest for summer or a fee not might help do some good on another transfer and you go get them.

Mahrez is a good example of trying to buy a senior player and getting mugged off.

If you flag enough in advance that a club can prepare and is willing you can do business.. I think VVD and coutinho business was talked out in December or even earlier. the evidence around the players points to it.

Mahrez by city was cheeky as **** really and they got told where to go.

Lemar issue is monaco have 100s of millions in their back pocket and are not needing to sell

Whens the last time we bought a 20 year old type player to develop?
