This is where we differ - I don't think Mig does make as many mistakes pro rata.
I know it's not saying a lot, but I think he's currently the lesser of two evils.
I think it's mad to hang your season on someone who "might get better".

You’re right - this is where we differ as both are currently not good enough. Migs has made plenty of errors this season but I feel we are more accepting because he is held to such a low level. We are used to his ****. Whereas with Karius, we hardly see him so any problem is amplified. And as mentioned, idiots in the media are always talking about him so his errors are always in public eye.

We do agree that we need another keeper this summer.

There’s strong rumours that Emre Can announced in the dressing room to his team-mates yesterday that he’d penned new terms and will be staying at Liverpool!

The speculation is because of comments on Dejan Lovren’s Instagram picture from Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge – both of who posted money emojis – with the former indicating some kind of deal had been agreed

If neither win a trophy, do you both have to give a tenner for the trophies part of the bet? (Plus the losing tenner for whichever team finishes lower in the league)

Nope.

If we finish above Chelsea @BobbyD has to pay £10 to charity and vice-versa

If Chelsea win a trophy and we don't, which was the basis of Bobby's 'more successful season' then I pay £10 to a charity and vice-versa, although as they're still in the semi final of a cup already, its weighted in his favour.

If neither team win a trophy then nobody has to pay....although I'd gladly contribute in this instance if Bobby does <ok>

After the City game he'd be mad to go play boring AF football in a bent league

Anyone hoping for a GK this window is going to be sorely disappointed...already got 4 ****e ones on our books - need to clear some out first. Summer at the earliest sadly. I'd persist with Karius I think. Migs has had yeeeears to improve and hasn't at all. Karius should at least get these 4 months - he's young enough to improve a little and see if he's worthy of number 1 or backup for next year.

This January's priority has to be a creative midfielder - the rest we can make do with. Like Jimmy was saying (either here or another thread) as soon as we meet a team who don't come out and attack, we're ****ed. Our midfield can't unlock a defense and never will. Coutinho was the only creative spark we had to cut through and he'll be missed very shortly

Summer has to be a proper DM
Another striker to cover for Firmino (or a flexible player like Mane/Salah who can play across the line)
A keeper
I would say a RB too. Gomez aint no RB, TAA is still learning and needs rotating and I can't see Clyne coming back from his injuries

All makes sense to me. Now put names to it all and it gets much harder!

Does Keita count as one of your midfielders or are you saying we need these as well as Keita?

Generally agree but feel the need to point out that Oxlade can offer creativity. Not only in play but also from set pieces, especially with VVD on the pitch too.

Looks like Sanchez is going to Utd and will get £350k/week. Ridiculous money for the mercenary.

All that money not spent on building a proper team. Brilliant.

Mourinho will be gone in 6 months and the new manager will have an unsellable, undroppable burden.

I appear to be in a minority on here by thinking we may not be interested in signing a keeper in the near future.
