Mahrez set for Liverpool medical
Riyad Mahrez is set to undergo a medical with Liverpool on Sunday ahead of a £49million move, according to beIN Sports (via Inside Futbol ).

Liverpool have a massive amount of money to play with after agreeing a €160m deal with Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho.

It now seems the Reds have wasted little time in bringing in a replacement, with Mahrez reportedly set to sign on until 2022.

He was £35-40m in the summer. Hope this is BS, cause its clearly over paying due to incoming money.

Now Can obv be misleading. And I don’t know what team we’ve played so hard make proper judgement, but this year we’ve not missed him when he hasn’t played.

Now not saying we’re better without him, obv not true, but we’ve coped ok. Yes it’ll be diff as morale might not be as high but as players the front 3 should be thinking this is my chance to be the main man and replace Cout. Be the star of the team.

Mohamed Salah's early-season success with Liverpool has led to interest from Real Madrid, OK Diario reports.

Zinedine Zidane's men have misfired offensively this season and are looking for solutions in front of goal, with the Egypt star touted as a possibility after an explosive beginning to life at Anfield.

Madrid are aware that a deal during January will be complicated but are set to return in the summer.

Imo I'd pay big in wages for goretzka and de vrij but both could be looking at this sale and wondering.....

I can't decide whether next year's team needs a winger or attacking creative midfielder.

Depends on who you get besides Keita in the summer, OxO and Salah could be the budget for 2 years or you may have upped the budget to around £60m. Time will tell with that but VvD and Keita were definitely linked to Coutinho's sale (imo).

It is actually not a bad deal. If a player is wanted by LFC then the selling club can ask whatever it feels LFC can afford. I was actually thinking that Leicester was going to ask for £75m for Mahrez and we would still have enough for another quality player. Even though they were ready to sell him for £35m in the summer.

As we have seen, prices of players are not fixed and they depend on the circumstances of the sellers and buyers.

"could" "(imo)", that's it, you're guessing just like the rest of us, difference is you believe your guesses are reality and that we are completely wrong.

Until the finances are revealed we won't know for definite will we?

I’d take Maher’s for sure.

Expensive but were gonna over pay for most peeps and prices are crazy these days so just have to not worry about that.

As long as we dont overpay so muh for people thag it stops us strengthening elsewhere then fine.

Of course I am guessing like everyone else but, my guess is based timing of certain things.
Why on earth would LFC sell Coutinho now when you have so much to play for?
You could have sold him last or next summer with much less disruption, strange that it's happened now the VvD deal has gone through.
