FSG and Klopp deserve a for extricating maybe another £60m plus out of Barca compared to that ridiculous £80m we were offered in the summer
have they though? what's the actual deal? is there installment? what are the add one? Barca will prob boast on Monday after unveil that he cost half the claimed fee.
Erm, you'd not get any money for him, doubt your even paying much of his wages, if any. He's on loan, you lot could just send him back to Bayern if your really wanted. Anyway, its apparently £105m upfront with £37m in 'realistic' add-ons. Guess that would be winning the CL, La Liga etc and amount of games and goals. None of this Ballon **** they tried to pull last time (things a ****ing fix anyway)
I'm sure we can make a better team with that money than what we could have had keeping Coutinho. Just need to spend wisely
Quick question. If we don't have a replacement lined up, why were we so hell bent on not letting him go in the summer? I know we got another half season out of him but it seems weird we changed out stance so quickly from absolutely no chance to a compromise in the JANUARY window rather than the following summer. Could it be issues with the fee? The fact that Lallana was out back then?
We don't have a player near him in that midfield in terms of creativity and guile. He had to go, but in the summer when we had a replacement. FSG have just folded. And now we're going to spend the money* on an over-priced Lemar. Dreadful business. * Hope we get to find out how that 'Up front' £105m is being paid - doubles over the next 50 years, interest free like Luis's. Oh, and we're not paying any agents' fees are we, including to his grasping father?
as i said earlier when garlic first reported it. can gone in all but name firmino facing 8 game ban coutinho gone. we've blown our season in 24 hours. If we buy lemar it will take 3 months to integrate him. lallana is not fit. salah is currently carrying an injury. manes form is poor Henderson is injured. We started January with vvd a week later we've blown it.
What we bought him for is irrelevant: what it costs to replace him is the biggest factor, and reported punts of £90m for Lemar highlights that point. I'd rather we built a new Anny Rd and put another tier on the Centenary than blow the money like that.
