We need an out and out goal scorer imo. We were ok in build up yesterday but I lost count of how many times we were missing someone to get onto the end of a ball.
Salah looks good but needs to finish better. I think he'll improve again next year as this is effectively his first full year starting every match in the PL.
If we can keep Mane and add a top striker with the gazillions we get for Couthino then he won't be a huge miss imo.
Would still need an entire defence including a keeper mind And perhaps throw in another CM to add to Keita.
So that's around 3 windows

We might bid for lemar again.
If arsenal finish 5th and us 4th I think we will get the forgotten Monaco star.
Then after that.... well.... imo our team will lose can so that's the perfect excuse to get a cm who will actually stand between the cbs and shore us up.
None of the back line are title winners but... well... if we shore it up a bit we can do something going forward.
Imo we need to sell origi, sturridge and ings and replace with one tip striker.

Is Lemar the answer? Great player but another winger who can switch positions. Fits Klopp's system but we need a 25 goal a season player imo.
I think Salah will improve under Klopp and if we keep Mane then Lemar is not the priority imo.
Totally agree on a #6 but we also need that top class CB.
He seems to either have made the link up himself or was klopp coutinho replacement.

We need a lot if things to compete as you say. Watching us play I am just getting.more and more sure it's about balance in midfield and the others can be made do with
If offered a top cm and striker right now as our next summer window added to Keita I would take it. We need more but I get the feeling we have spent a large chunk of coutinho money on Keita and our net spend this year accurately reflects what we have to spend.
A cb, cm, striker and gk is an entire team spine and we need it but I can't see it happening.
Unfortunately, I think you're right.
Would love us to buy in the Jan window if the right players are available but I don't see it happening. One or two players in Jan and two or three in the summer would see us about right for next year.
If we had bought a player like Aubameyang in the summer, we'd have won all of the games when we could finish. We are frustratingly close but equally far away when compared to City for example.
Perhaps this is just the right time for FSG to exit?
Yeah our absolute ideal would be to discover a war chest does exist and a cb, whoever that may be, was bought in January. I think being realistic that's the best we can do in January. Like... ok we all knew vvd was never on once Southampton threw a hissy fit but the assumption could be 50odd mil existed tgere... but did we spend it on ox?Did we spend lemar money there? Who knows.

Spurs have retained their key men but are all strong down the middle.
City are very very strong all over.
