Not 100% sure that is true. His whole rant when he put in his TR was that as soon as he told the club that he wanted to leave THEY put him in the stiffs training on his own and said he was unavailable to go to their French tour.
Think you need to include you own Liebher (sp) dude in that, as he's been saying for a month that VVD was gone.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow when the various talking heads and pundits on BarSkylona and BBC Salford explain why what they assured one and all had to happen, would happen, must happen and should happen because it's Ford's dream (this year anyway) didn't happen, even though it was highly, highly relevant to say that Liverpool are not the team of the 80's and all its fans are deluded saps who think they're bigger than Barca and PSG combined.
There's a certain degree of ****ing spite in some of their articles and pundits simply because they know they were wrong and can't accept it. I wonder how many were on retainers with Ford's family to get this deal through?
