And there should be a new rule that no new managers come in. If you want to sack the one you have wait until the transfer window or one of your named PL squad players must take over as player manager.

Glad they are at least shortening this from next season so deadline is before season starts

But that's only for PL teams buying players, teams like Barca can then come in and buy our players and we can't get a replacement.

why would the current assistant or first team coach not take over.

Good quote. I've said similar in the past, leaving to play CL when the player, with a bit more effort, could earn it with the team he's already playing in. Some want it all handed to them on a plate.
