I think it sounds like the money is flexible.
We have money if FSG think it is a good investment.
We don't have money if it's just to make up numbers.
We have money but FSG arnt letting their wallets become a leaky sieve. There's probably one or two deals that are contingent on us beating the Hoff too.

There were rumours before the end of last season that we had up to £200m to spend. I know it's paper talk, but you'd expect there'd be an element of truth to it.
Also, we were fondling van Dijk's buttocks long before the Coutinho saga blew up, so all indications are that there is money to spend, but it has to be on the right players.
