Ffs,

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes hilariously trolls Liverpool over Philippe Coutinho transfer

Paul Scholes proved still he bleeds Manchester United red with his analysis of the transfer situation developing at Liverpool.

The former midfielder and United legend was on BT Sport pundit duty for the Super Cup against Real Madrid, alongside former Liverpool duo Steven Gerrard and Steve McManaman.
But when the talk turned to the transfer market, Scholes was happy to nail his United colours to the mast. The trio were asked about Philippe Coutinho's situation, with the Brazilian wanted by La Liga giants Barcelona - who have cash to splash after the €220m sale of Neymar.

Host Jake Humphrey asked the panel where they thought Coutinho would be playing on September 1, and while Gerrard and McManaman both argued for Anfield, Scholes could not resist the chance to wind up any watching Liverpool fans.

"Hopefully Barca," he replied with a telling grin.

He meant because he sees Couthinho as a threat when we play the manc ****s.<doh>

How [HASHTAG]#deluded[/HASHTAG] are MEN that Scholes being [HASHTAG]#worried[/HASHTAG] about Coutinho is somehow a "hilarious troll" <laugh>

Fake injury because Barcelona want to buy him for £110 million.

Another 8 pages since I was here.last. again, don't think I have will power to read that to catch up. Still assume nothing happened.
Other than Barca being hugely presumptuous and apparently organising an arrival ceremony for Couts.
And they had the gall to have a go at PSG for doing the same sort of **** with Neymar. The hypocritical behaviour in football is mind-blowing.
Can we go crying to someone about Tapping up?

But Yep our Summer window is still a complete bollocks up, like most of the others for years. Perhaps it has something to do with Owner and Execs running the club who have **** all knowledge about football.

Miserable?, Take a gander at these depressive symptoms.

No issues with selling Coutinho because him leaving for a club like Barca is inevitable - but its criminal to let him go this late on in the window with no replacement in sight.

Re. western Union - not sure why there is a lot of anger - it's a small logo and it raises £25m over the next 5 years. In a market where prices are inflated, we need all the money we can get.

You really trust FSG don't you Jimmy, they started the summer with the £30m from the shirt deal, the extra revenue from the new stand, the TV money and the other sponsorship money and matchday and LFCtv money.

Theyre smoking big cigars in Boston that they light with LFC generated $100 bills.<laugh>

Agree on both.

Selling Couts, well its inevitable at some point and all footballers move on eventually anyway and if we receive a £120m+ fee for him its a lot of money. Its already been a frustrating transfer window, not getting the targets we set our sights on and the amateur hour that has been the VvD transfer. So I worry about losing Couts as I don't trust our people to find the right player to replace him, or even to replace him at all.

The sponsorship and commercial streams are one thing I can't fault FSG on, clearly this is their area of expertise and before they came the club was still in the dark ages about this. I just wish we saw these revenues being used for transfers.

Money is there. They backed klopp with 70m for Keita and 70m for VVD. It's not fsg fault that their clubs didn't want to sell?

Thing is - FSG are trying to spend big bucks on two big players. We're just unfortunate that we've come up against two very stubborn teams. I'm still confident that VVD will be done given that Soton local press have said they cant reintegrate him into the team now.

Keita - this could be a deadline day deal I hope but who knows.

But if fail to get at least one (mainly a CB), then this window is a failure. There is no excuse to not strengthen these areas even if we can't get our number one targets.

I agree, no big deal.
