Well, after reading todays transfer page on Sky it seems that if Barca sell Neymar you get to keep Coutinho, they only want him to keep Neymar company.
On the other hand, United need to pin Herrera to a longer contract (1 year left) because Barca want him as a replacement for Iniesta

Not me saying it mate.

Speaking on 5 Live's Football Daily Podcast, Jenson said: "I think Neymar is a matter of days before we put an end to this and he confirms he'll be playing at PSG next season. I'll be amazed if that deal doesn't happen."
He added: "The original motivation of getting Coutinho was to keep Neymar happy. Neymar is not too pleased with the fact that Barcelona have been selling their Brazilian stars.

Manchester United have also opened contract talks with Ander Herrera in a bid to fend off interest in the midfielder from Barcelona, according to the Daily Star.
The Spain international has a year remaining on his current deal with the option of a 12-month extension while Barca see him as a long-term successor to Andres Iniesta.

Ah right so a BBC Salford report spoke to Utd fans by dissing a Liverpool player and bigging up a Utd one.

Wow that's a shock.

Hmmm, you're trusting FSG an awful lot there. All I can say is remember 2014: unless or until FSG change their spots, I just don't trust them. But if they are acting behind Klopp's back, then I truly hope they or Klopp walks, regardless of the implosion at the club. If Klopp is in on it, then I do hope the end result is worth it. But as it looks like we're not getting Keita or even VVD now, and we could well be selling Coutinho, but hopefully for a decent price north of £100m, it'd better be a lot, lot better than another Balotelli on deadline day.

It is looking quite ominous. The way the board is reacting and the information being leaked suggest that they will accept an offer of around £90m. Selling Coutinho would only make sense if there is already a replacement or two. What would we do with £90m with only a few weeks left? We would probably buy 2 players with potential for £20m and FSG would just pocket the difference.

Yet you think Barca want someone who cuts in from the left 20 times a game and gets the odd shot on target as a replacement for Iniesta

Yep, the internet contains some **** :emoticon-0101-sadsm

No I don't. I think they want to show their fans they are still releva t but were never serious cos they can't afford him to to Messi bleeding them dry.

Hence their actual shopping in the bargain bucket for damaged goods like herrera

Pretty sure most people know they are still relevant <laugh>

They were probably quite serious at £80m, it would be worth it to keep Neymar happy. If you start pushing for £90m+ they will probably go elsewhere for a Brazilian friend.
