FFS, if they get £195m for Neymar I should hope the conversation starts at £135m and that the least we'll take is £120m. Bewildered by the mood music from Barca this week - on the one hand, we have their president saying how much they 'respect' us; yeah, like you were crowing for all to hear that you'd only paid £65m for Luis, and that was on the never-never. Then they're leaking to Catalan papers that they 'fear' Liverpool will price Coutinho out of a deal. You can tell these people have dealt with FSG before, and it's a well rehearsed scenario that they're somehow doing us a favour.

Well IF Ford puts in that request (the Mirror are saying he's going to plead with Jurgen that he wants a move - if only there was a specified process for asking for a transfer (that applies to VVD and Keita too)), we wait until Neymar is sold and then laugh at £80 -90m offers. Just what the **** is it about these Spanish giants making you think that they're doing you a favour by bidding for your players? They did it with Masch, and Real did it with Xabi and Owen. We're in a better financial position than they are now when it comes to liquidity. **** you, it's not a distressed sale like Masch (or even Luis) . If you can't keep up with PSG, we'll wait until next year, and if Ford has another good season they WILL pay £135m, or £100m worse case scenario.

If FSG accept less and we don't spend that £90m, or whatever, we know where we stand; and that doesn't include the big ifs of getting Keita and/or VVD, as we'd already bid for them before this Luis thing flared up again.
