When did I say not to do that? In fact I'm sure I said the opposite. I was talking about the one player and our approach to him. He's available next year when RB cannot refuse. So come back then if Klopp thinks he is that important. Same with VD (without buyout clause obviously)
That doesn't stop us looking at other midfield options. And since we have let 2 existing midfielders go I can't see that we are only after the one midfielder?
You can do both can you not? But since I have no idea what Klopps ideal midfield set up would be...how Keita is envisaged to play or link up with new and existing players I've no idea who Klopp thinks would be a viable alternative? Doesn't mean he doesn't have them.
By all means if it turns out we did just go with one option in any of the weak positions I'll criticise the management.
As clarification...i had issues with our entire central midfield last year. So even if we did get Keita this year I'd be looking for more anyway be it this window or future windows.
When you have a good squad, it is good to rotate especially if you are in many competitions. As for Leicester,they played less games when they on the championship. As for Chelsea, they have many top players, you rotate too prevent injury to key players.

either Klopp is buying ketia or nobody or he's going to look at options.
I agree this is the same agent rubbish this guy was out with before.

Random...as in settle for a 3rd or 4th choice player because we can't buy the first choice this window. Like a balotelli etc etc. Relevant because as a club we have done it before.
Has Klopp so far? No. Will he? I don't think so. But if because of this he doesn't buy anyone I'm not going to give him flack for buying no one. Personally I'd prefer that approach: my original point.

As we don't know what other targets there are the rest is conjecture and anxiety on our part. Klopp has said there is work being done so either it is or he is a liar. I'm going to believe him.

If you had any consideration for our club you'd cut short your holidays.
Just not going to happen unless Keita himself starts agitating, and I'm not comfortable with that (the same too with VVD). If they're not prepared to simply put in a transfer request then it's going nowhere.

The thing is your original point will have us in 6th or worse... its almost assured if utd and arsneal get any sort of act together. We got 4th on a MASSIVE points total for 4th and only barely got it so does this mean the same for this season? If we fail to buy more I would be confident in predicting another trophyless year for LFc and a lot of soul searching in 6th. I'd also predict massive coutinho rumours from november onwards too.
WE NEED QUALITY
1. Matip is the only CB of actual quality and he has a dodgy ankle
2. LB port is a bit worrying
3. midfield is lightweight. it might be ok in europe but in prem its short and light and will have to work very hard to compete
4. attack is STILL unbalanced. 4 for no 9 role and 2 or 3 for the wide areas = we will have central stiker parked on bench while other play all game sup to christmas then implode.
5. finally. henderson is well dodgy. we now are looking at can with 12 months to go and henderson with a foot that could crumble at CM.
I truly think we need at minimum a CB and a CM but would seriously be looking for another option wide as well.
Klopp might play a 41212 formation with salah as one of the two up top ofr all i know. It could be coutinho or lallana as no 10. the box to box CMs could be can and wijnaludm... but theres little to back that up.
We need to get on with the business.
