I have to digress a little here, that little fellow in midfield we sold to Bolton. He was once compared with Gerard.
Whenever I see N'Golo Kanté he reminds me of him. Can anyone put a name to him?. Anyone following his progress?

Still feels like we finaly got someone after everyone else has had a go and now don't want him.

Any news on Clint Dempsey?

Everyone else? I assume you mean Chelsea? The same team that got rid of KDB and Lukaku, and also bought back Matic after having previously sold him.

I guess time will tell mate

I was referring to Chelsea, yes.

He is one of quiet a large number we've gone for and failed in the past 5 years.

Lets hope we can get a tune out of him.

I think he's an excellent signing when you look at some of the prices being spent now. Away from the top/elite European teams he's been the best performing winger over the last 2 seasons.

He's exactly what we need as our team was quite overloaded with pace on the right, hopefully he'll play on the left and level that up. He's faster than Mane, he can do 100m in under 10 seconds, that's Olympic speed!

I'm looking forward to seeing him tear the arse out of PL RB's.

I can't see him being anything but a success....


But I did think Ballotelli would do ok too, so maybe I'm just deluded <whistle>

Plus from what I remember he did pretty well when he got a game for Chelsea, it's the fact he didn't get many games that was the let down.

He was too young then and had far more experienced players to compete with.

Very few foreign players catch up with the physical requirement of the premiership in their first year. Alonso, Suarez did well for Liverpool.
Others have to do it in their second year.

jeez Jim since the 3 will cost in the region of £170m & will be our 3 most expensive transfers ever i should ****ing hope so - though can see Salah being rotated.
i still struggle to believe we have this much money to spend without some serious sales which will impact on our already thin squad.

yeah he played there regularly and was decent. Then mourinho shunted him to lb where he stood out. Now he's at Right centre back in a back 3 and i think he's even more brilliant there

Salah didn't break our transfer record, I think it was £34m
 
Yeah i think Salah will do well for you guys. Looked really good at basle, then Jose did the standard i have 11 that i trust and you will come on for 10 minutes every month to salah and got flogged off.

He's done brilliantly at Roma and considering the prices being bandied around, 30 odd million isnt too bad
