Everyone can name CB's who are as good or better than him, but they're not realistic targets; either too expensive or at top clubs already. Naming good defenders isn't the problem, finding them early is.

I'm a football fan, I don't play FIFA or football manager (no time, I've a house and job and I'm not 15) so I watch Liverpool and the big games. It's not my job to name other viable targets who would be cheaper alternatives but just as good. Which is why I mentioned scouts like so many others do; that IS their only bloody job and yet they pick the same players I could! It's laughable.

3/4 years ago very few had heard of Van Dijk until he popped up at Celtic and then moved on to Saints. Talent is there in the smaller leagues.
 
Manolas move to zenit looks to hav emaybe broken down. Not seen a lot of him but has decent reputation. Part of good Roma team that came 2nd.

Chelsea apparently interested now as well. 26 so a good age and apparently available for about £26m

Koulibaly is just as good imo, if not better. He's a monster of a defender.
 
Three teams are checking in on Liverpool winger, Sheyi Ojo. Currently, Newcastle United are leading the race for Ojo’s services, next season.
Ojo joined the Reds but has spent time on loan with two Championship clubs, Wolverhampton and Wigan Athletic. The 20-year-old has made just eight appearances with the Reds first-team, his debut occurred in January 2016.

After some frustrating appearances with the first-team, Jurgen Klopp is content to send the youngster out on loan again. The likely landing spots are Newcastle United, Burnley, and Middlesbrough, who have all contacted the Reds about Ojo
