Oxlade-Chamberlain has no intention of signing new Arsenal contract
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo has reported that the England international has no plans to sign the current contract offer that is on the table from Arsenal.

According to the report, the Gunners have offered Oxlade-Chamberlain ‘marginally enhanced terms of around £80,000 per week” but the England star is not interested in putting pen to paper on that deal.

I wonder who it was that got picked up at the train station in LFC car then ;)

I hope VvD doesn't do anything stupid like strike or refuse to play for his club. I f#cking hate that. I'd rather not have him than see him come to us after something like that. If we don't get him then we should chalk it down as a (another!) lesson learnt

Can't see Klopp being happy being told no though. This might run some yet.....and not in a good way! <yikes>
might teach him not to talk to other clubs players when he doesn't have the owning clubs permission.

Would be happy with signing Ox for £20-25m. He would be a really useful squad player and can play in a couple positions. However would he be happy to move and not guarantee to start every game. Seems like an odd move for him, but good for us

Well.... the main issue for I think most lfc fans would be injuries.

The fee seems a bit high but Everton paid 30 for pickford so i could see us turn a profit on ox if we wanted to.

Gets him out of Arsenal suppose. Lack of CL has rats on a sinking ship feel for them. Still get the feeling Sanchez will leave either this or next summer.

Ian Doyle. That's how I interpreted what he said anyway when he said it was 'nuts' that Liverpool would only spend £100m. Tbh, we've been here before - IF we sell Sakho, Studge, Moreno, Markovich et al, and IF we get £100m for the lot (big if), we will spend £20m net at tops, I bet you.

What kind of bet?

Though Arsenal have been heavily linked to the Lyon star, there were also a lot of claims of his potential
talkswith Liverpool being a success and him joining the Reds. There has been no confirmation so far on the move and only time will tell, which club he might sign for. It will be an interesting transfer saga, as the 26-year old French forward will finally have to decide which team he wants to play for next term.

He has been in superb form with more than 100 goals to his name for Lyon and has impressed, both at the club and international level. It will be quite interesting to see, which English giant eventually gets him to put pen to paper, as the offers keep coming in.
