As I said pirlo compared to Lucas is I have to say ridiculous. You should really drop that one.
If we'd replaced Lucas 2 years back or even 3 we might have done more last year and this.
Paid him off for 5 years and all his staff so can't afford a stand or any transfers oops.

Not comparing them as players at all. More so that being able to run doesn't mean you can't play a role in football. Gerrard couldn't run in 14/15 either but did decent enough job.
He wasnt in the team to run around a lot. That's like saying he's no good in the team because he can't score goals. Well that wasn't his role in the team so it's a pointless statement.

Maguire went for £17m so reckon £30m for Sakho is about right in that case.
If anyone gets close to £10m for Moreno then should take it and ship him off before they come to their senses!

You are digging a bigger hole now.
The fact remains Lucas cannot get about and the whole basis of his game was built about fitness and getting about. His injury in 2011 ruined him. Before that he was just coming into his own.
He ended up a complete reserve and let's just be frank here.
Pirlo and Gerrard were never reserves. Pirlo knew the jig was up in 2015 but he was leaving with 4 in a row in Italian titles and was Italian poty 3 years running til 2014.
To even compare them is silly. Why are we even considering them in the same breath?
Lucas was best hearing about playing short passes on to those who could play.
Scary thing is we might get most of that (if not all of it) backWho the **** (apart from us) is going to spend £20m on Markovic?

You're still arguing s point which I'm not making. Now I'm not sure if it's **** about for the hell of it mito orbeing serious mito. But I'll repeat it for once last time, Lucas game hasn't been about running around for the last god knows how long because he can't do that. Like coutinhos game isn't about being a target man in the box because he can't do it. Lucas can't run so he's played in positions and roles where he doesn't need to do that. Like at CB or in DM where he's asked to just hold a position.
Do I think he's as good as those o mentioned? Clearly not, but just because he can't run around loads doesn't make him a useless footballer beside he has other strengths that have been utilised. Is he a first team player? No.... but has he been useful as a back up and been a brilliant servent for us having never moaned about anything and always given 100%
