Lacazette isn't going Arsenal. 1. Hes said many times only wants to leave for CL football. 2. Lyon have said he's not going anywhere now his move to atletico broke down. 3. They've probably lined something up for him to move to atletico in Jan or next summer.
First highlight: when you are trying to make a serious point then over-exaggeration will always undermine it. Second highlight: just plain wrong. We were nowhere near as good as the first half of the season, certainly in style of play, but the points haul was comparable. It was the third quarter that did for us.
Soon, could mean soon, or soon could mean Monday. Soon might even mean end of next week. We'll soon know!
Ok you tell me then. Which of the top teams would have Lucas? Which one? City? Arsenal? Utd? Chelsea? Spurs? Let's just dig into results. May first ok. Boro, hammering no Lucas..3-0 coutinho brilliant. West ham. Easy stuff. 4-0 Lucas on as 87th min sub Southampton 0-0 Lucas at cm. Watford 1-0 truly awful game. Awful. Lucas punt. Can scores over head from edge of box..coutinho off after 15mins.. Lucas played 90.. April Palace 1-2 loss Lucas plays cm West Brom. 1-0 win, scraped by, they looked totally distinerested. Lucas plays cm. 2 shots on target from us. Stoke 2-1 win. No Lucas. Bournemouth 2-2 Lucas plays cm. We were unconvincing their late goal was ****e stuff Everton 3-1 win. Everton play did and go never dives, easy win Lucas plays Trends? Seriously playing 90% bottom half teams and we struggle. I say again. He cannot run and the whole teams set up changes When we get coutinho fit and playing well and sturridge out there last two it's easy. There's games in there that were truly truly awful to watch
in comparison to? a) a toddler? b) rickie lambert? c) emre can? d) any decent paced player in the prem? looks to me like... bascially nobody is denying the lads legs are gone they are just defending him out of loyalty.
Sounds like you're all violently agreeing. Mito is less sentimental than others but in essence, everyone agrees that it's time for him to move on, with our love and affection, obviously.
that is probably fair. I'm look at it like this. the lads been well paid for his service and others who leave and get on with it come back and are rightly welcomes.. look at luis garcia. did his bit, thanks for the memories and off he goes to atletico, he's welcomed back any time for who he is. Others are whiny ****s thinking they are owed and don't come back. theres the "family" of the club and then theres the on the pitch business. Nobody is saying get out and never darken our doors again to the fella. Its just well past time he was off and someone else into play footie. Other prime examples were: poor dirk kuyt, couldn't keep up here but gave his all and went off and had a great time after us. Rickie lambert got a season in a red shirt which was bascially crazy but it happened, gerrard REALISTICALLY should have retired at end of 213/14, it was actually sad to see his last season go that badly after it. Carragher got out at right time, one could argue it was a season even too long for LFC. The POINT is in the business of winning games at the sharp end no team can afford a half passenger especially when in general their rivals have the many more resources and talents. IMO if lucas had not got injured in 2011 he could have been the difference for us with suarez and sturridge up top but that was not meant to be. when he was fit and flying he was prob actually at least as good as henderson ever has been for us. SO I just park the he's one of us stuff and look at it like they all have to do a job and if that job is done its done. Realistically we are talking oh keep him are we? well how are we progressing o nthe pitch doing this? really? We've just got coutinho developed to a point where teams are sniffing. We have mane who stepped up from his southampton form to become key for us. We have matip who looks class but a bit fragile. We've one or two others who might be up to it. We need to develop more players not just float along.
A serious point is, every manager has seen the use in keeping him, and someone on a forum thinks they're all stupid.
MITO mate, you're coming across as a proper 'sky era' fan. Maybe that's the issue. Some fans like to have some loyalty left in their club, clearly you don't care for such things. That's fair enough if that's your bag.
1) Its not all about starting place, we need a squad. How many times have we been without our 'strongest' eleven. 2) He gives us options depending on the opposition. We can mix it up and try a different approach to games. 2) I actually think he would start and Coutinho would drop back into midfield.
Steve Nicol is talking bollocks...........Salah will strengthen the squad and the eventual fee will be nowhere near £40m
