For me, we need 23/24 (obviously no more than the home grown limit) senior squad members and 5 or 6 junior. He falls into the latter. Don't forget that we have Milner who can do a job at LB or RB or midfield....so TAA could, arguably, also be one of the juniors.

Under 21 players fall outside of the 25 man squad limit. We need to use the squad much more professionally than we have this year.

Liverpool could reportedly receive an additional £500,000 from the deal that took Joe Allen to Stoke City for £13m last summer.

The Welshman has relished his move to the Britannia after failing to secure regular football under Jurgen Klopp, making 30 appearances in the Premier League as an ever-present part of Mark Hughes’ side.

Having scored six goals and provided three assists in that time, he’s proven to be a valuable asset for the Potters, but it could come at a greater cost to them.

That will help soften the blow of the silly wages we are paying sturridge not to play as he hasn't got the right colour nail varnish on.

Yeah he missed those bits outs <laugh>

If Klopps happy I would have him bk, will be hard to get a really decent centre back if no CL and going up against the money clubs even if in CL

MInd you we still managed Matip

apart from the really elite players the CL thing is a bit of a red herring put about by players & their agents if they want a move. Strange how many will sign for anyone if the money is good .

Pogba, United. Pretty much sums up the "lure" of the CL and how the lure of an extra £50k a week is usually more attractive to most players.
