Maybe can concentrating on the current crop then. Not a massive punishment to be honest. Big slap on the wrists though.
Liverpool have been fined £100,000 by the Premier League and handed a two-year ban on signing academy players from other clubs for a rule breach.
It relates to the club's approach to a 12-year-old academy player at Stoke City in September last year.
Liverpool will be banned from signing any academy players who have been registered with a Premier League or EFL club in the previous 18 months.
This second year of the ban will be suspended for a three-year period

So we can't sign any British youngsters (I presume under 18 on semi-professional or junior contracts?) but we can still buy European kids?

Sounds clearly deserved, however tapping up players and going indirectly is clearly rife in football.
It is disgraceful and underhanded but also amateur.
IMO someone (and IMO both the active person AND the head of recruitment at academy) should go over it.
Its IMO low standards and no code of conduct.
The club are CLEARLY hoping to just not make a headline and hope this goes away within the week if they just say nothing but we accept it.

Yup, the inducements is clearly a breach. What i think is actually worse is that they reneged on the inducements after finding out that if they did, they'd have to give it to all the other academy kids (someone ****ed up big time) and have totally left the kid (with greedy parents) out to dry.

You are certainly right. As of now klopp has.... 13/14? Players right now that he is willing to play including can, klavan and origi as subs if everyone is fit... we need 7/8 players in to think we are a cl side.
Yeah....it's a strange market hence the 'at least'. £20m for Sahko, £10m each for the other 3. It probably should be a minimum.
2 for each position and 3 keepers was the norm at one stage. 23/24 man squad. I lost track of where we are on numbers, long term injuries to some reduced the squad no end early on. We could have done with an Ings with half a season of training behind him, even if he was not a first choice option.
For me, we have lacked pace for some time now. Mane has been the only player that offered us that. Priority #1 when looking at the options up front will surely be to add that.
We made a lot of it in the early stage of the season but a GK has surely fallen down our list of priorities.

We're pretty close....I can't work out if Origi will make it or not as a top number 9. I actually think we need a 20 a goal forward badly.
Where would you fit Woodburn in then?
I know he isn't same level as Coutinho but you have TAA as backup for Clyne.
