so he'd time to point and tip off the defender and all.

He ran with the ball, pointingand shouting towards Benteke to get in a proper position - failed to find him with the ball, then chases back to win the ball back.

right so he's pretty **** then... running about pointing at a stupid place to go then blindly passes to the opposition then shouts at beneteke while then trying to chase back.

It's a wonder he didn't fall over multi tasking like that.

He'd be better giving it to lallana wouldn't he

I'd say Can is the muscle and dirty work, and the one who keeps it moving, like Toure. Next to him I think he needs a quicker, more elegant creative type midfield.

Just waiting for @Treble to tell us what he thinks of Can XD.

I actually think Cans pretty good (annoyingly as Jimmy can then rave about him). Only problem with him is he thinks hes yaya and normally dribbles it all the way to the end and either loses it or plays it off (good skill to have being to carry the ball but decision making is suspect)

Agree - he needs to work on the end product.

But at 22, he's got plenty of time to improve that side of his game.

And we really need to buy someone to partner him.

sums it up pretty well.. he's ego is as big as ronaldo's but he's nowhere near the level. belief is great but thinking you are yaya and can swan round all over isn't the great idea when you are playing in a 4231.. after all cheslea know all about this with fabregas who's a great player but forgot this entirely this year.

I do remember that, he has the ball wideish right, was looking up to deliver in the box and benteke was hanging around on the edge back to goal looking for ball to feet, he pointed twice to get into the box and then by time he did Can has put in a cross (although was a **** one anyway).

I thoight tekkers was alright, but still one or two things like that are frustrating. He's best in the box but arm seems reluctant to get in there, maybe Rodgers wanted him to get involved in build up too much and it's playing on his mind?

Was another occasion he was hanging out left wing and got given the ball twice and looked up to cross... To realise Coutinho was only player in the middle.

Can has been good but do feel his form has dipped last month or so, potentially because of games played etc. He needs to do more on the ball in terms of passing imo

True, to be honest i'm just waiting for Klopp to start playing Benteke on a regular basis so that he can show what a beast he is. You don't become a 1 in 2 striker for Villa unless you are the real deal. Look how pants they are now that they've lost him

Fair points - I wasnt having a go at Benteke (honest), was just highlighting a moment when can tracks back and recovers the ball well.

I think Can's performance did dip but he's been really good over the past few games. I think some fans do get hung up on his attacking contribution (which does need to improve) but I think his role covers so much more, particularly for a defensive aspect which he has done really well. But as we all know, still a raw player.

You become a 1 in 2 goal scorer by playing in a team that plays to your strengths. Sadly, we don't and won't do that.

Good player but just not right for us.

And Benteke has hardly featured for us, with Origi Now favoured ahead of him (despite everyone fully fit). I think Benteke is a goner.

Apparently, it was an open press day at a children's hospice but S*n are passing it off as an exclusive.
