Hes scored 3 goals in the cups for them. He's played pretty well.

    Gladly take him back.

So, how much longer do you think it will take Firmino to settle?

He said he wanted to play in the premier league to help his Brazil chances, something that will disappear if he goes out there.
He also confirmed he was keen to play for Liverpool along childhood friend Coutinho.
So it will be interesting to see if he actually does move. On a side note, where has all this money come from in Chinese football, been a few big money moves already.

The rich elite have obviously been short selling against their own economy.

Is anyone else having a good laugh at the amount of english hacks are now linking players to china? i mean now teixteria is meant to be headed to chine.... just to wind up gullible reds.

We all know the guy wants to play for brazil... he'll go where his club allows him to go for the offer they want but it won't be to bury his career and fail in his goals.

I find all this very amusing and wonder who actually really believes this stuff

    I don't mind.

I find it a great test.

If the guy wants to head there it then informs us all of his ambitions..... as in zero bar money.

It was like gaston ramirez. We all knew the moment he went to Southampton as their statement signing what he was at.

If the lad wants to talk about playing for Brazil and a week later head to China we have dodged a bullet. It says mercenary so I'd be quite happy if he does head on.

    I can totally.

    Money.

He should ask Drogba and an elks about getting actually paid once he's over there.

The reality is he can enjoy the cash and I hope personally someone buys a few of our lot too.

But the only place in town to be a big star and play for Brazil is the main big euro leagues not China.

Sky reporting he's off to China for 38m <laugh>

Footballers don't help themselves... I want to move to LFC... I only want to play in prem. I need to move to stronger league to get chance to play for Brazil...

    Fast forward a week....

Signs for Chinese team in weak ass league so he can earn silly money for a couple of years <doh>

No qualms with players wanting to move to China, get paid **** load, and be a star of a new up and coming lesgue.... But don't go saying one thing then change your mind 1 week later <doh>

You just don't get it do you, he wanted out of the Ukrain.
Chelsea and Liverpool showed an interest so he wanted to play in the Premier league (no preference at that point)
Chelsea didn't bid but Liverpool did, he really wanted to play for Liverpool.
Liverpool wont pay the asking price but a Chinese club will, that will do <ok>

But his reason for wanting to get out was to get a chance to play for Brazil.... no issue with that, but don't go and move to China if that's the case <laugh>
