We obviously didn't rate the feller as highly as Benteke or Carroll.

You just don't get it do you, he wanted out of the Ukrain.
Chelsea and Liverpool showed an interest so he wanted to play in the Premier league (no preference at that point)
Chelsea didn't bid but Liverpool did, he really wanted to play for Liverpool.
Liverpool wont pay the asking price but a Chinese club will, that will do

 

But his reason for wanting to get out was to get a chance to play for Brazil.... no issue with that, but don't go and move to China if that's the case
