Maybe Bony's £200k/week demands is part of why we didn't go for him
 
Fairly sure that if it were August and lfc and spurs were bidders he'd be asking 100k

It's city therefore media will make up higher wages and he will prob demand more too

Even £100k is too much, our structure would be more like £70k with bonuses and new contracts as rewards for meeting targets

Likely to just be a pre-contract for the Summer and he goes to Inter as Bayerns player on loan.

Problem with that is that it wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on, he could go to Inter, be phenomenal and another club comes in with double the wage and laughs in our pre-contract face.
 
at that point its all about wages.

really it is sort of interesting as stoke have been a bit of a direct team but adding bojan and looking at a midget like shaqiri plus talk of crouch gone in january would seem to indicate that hughes is out to transform them.

cue bets on stoke being relegated shortly.........
 
re origi.. if we've been told by players father and lille president that no talks have occured and its now 7ths jan.... i'd suggest plan a is not at all origi... we'd simply do this in december and have it done!

now.

inter's offer... 2mil loan for 6 months sounds about right if he's supposedly all that. 12mil to buy is then cheap as chips.

Our window will be **** as ever. Ffp will mean we sign no one because we've splurged so much in the summer. Seen valdes has also signed for United.

Was hoping we would sign cavani, what a joke for me to think that. We can't eve stump up 10mil to sign a player of shaqiris quality. Yet will happily spend 20+ on dross at other times

Plan A, I'd be surprised if we have a plan at all. And if anything Plan A is to sign no one cause we wasted all our money in the summer and are worried about FFP. £24m on Lalllana, £20m on Lovren, what were we thinking?

We've rather screwed ourselves since last June. We lumped all our money on a bunch of average and young players settling and that the manager would be able to get them to some super standard to replace Suarez and cope with the extra games.

January has rolled round and things haven't worked and now we can't make changes cause we over spent on the current lot.
 
i think roger your plan a sounds most plausible as RHC has said his mate said no singingz, rodgers has flagged the same and now we hear this shaqiri nonsense.

I certainly agree if you had 44mil and wanted 2 players there were better for less out there to do the job than those two..... certainly it smacks of utter incompetance
 
With reference to Liverpool, Is Shaqiri just the Next Arda Turan?

I read that City might go for Lacazette instead of Bony. IMO Bony is better suited to City than us which is why I'm not losing any sleep over our "missed chance" with Bony even if he is top scorer in the calendar year, Lacazette would suit us better than City imo - not that we'll ever stump up the cash to sign him :(

We'll probably end up getting Origi back and signing a couple of players that either no ones heard of or are universally considered to be below average

city have almost complete the bony stuff cos he's to go to anc...

we won't sign anyone, rhc is right its sell to buy.
