I tend took look at frees as 'would I pay for them'. So many frees fail. There is a reason they are available for free, what is it?

If Matip isn't good enough to be a first team player when all are fit, I simply wouldn't sign him. And that's considering the injury problems.

So many £20m+ players fail to.

Even if Matip is equal to Skrtel, but fits our playing style better I'd take him. Playing style is clearly important.
 
Gotze has played down the link anyway, not going anywhere in Jan and saying how he's looking forward to working with Ancelotti.

Let's see bad attitude pato, gotze is injured,.... nah let's just calm down cos Klopp's more likely to buy a player to develop than establish players or flops like pato.

First off he's injured so nobody should be repeating the carroll and aquilani disasters. ... second he's prob been hauled over the coals at bayern for opening his gob, third anyone who played for Klopp will be linked to him.

Liverpool will try to sign Ludogorets Razgrad defender Georgi Terziev, according to reports.

The Bulgaria international, 23, is on Jürgen Klopp's radar, claims Tuttomercatoweb.

The report states that Terziev uses the same management company as recent Reds signing Marko Grujic and this could increase the likelihood of a move.


So... agents just throwing this out there or coming from actual link.

Who knows.

Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze has been speaking at a news conference in Doha this morning where Bayern remain on a training camp. Regarding his future, he said he’s not going anywhere in the January window. There had been newspaper reports Liverpool were interested in signing him .
"I can rule out a move to Liverpool this winter. I don't know where the rumours about Klopp and me are coming from. I have not heard anything. You should ask Klopp if he wants me at Liverpool. If he wants me, he should approach me.
"I have six nice months ahead of me. It is always annoying when you cannot play and cannot help the team. It is only normal that you think about things like that. But you have to look at the positives and build on those."

I would say he was told by his bayern employers to shut it and had to retract.

I think the original comment was the usual leading questions.

Would normally agree (I hate transfer bullshit) but the bit I put in bold would suggest he thinks the rumours are coming from Klopp.

Doubt it, he has big respect for Klopp so wouldn't talk bad about him.

Depends on the question asked.

Simple as asking is klopp after you or is Liverpool in for you and he can respond this way.

Plus it's translated to read what the next guy in the chain wants it to say.

It's clear to me he said one thing one day or was reported as saying so and then said something else today.

Questions are always worded to get the most controversial answer, I thought yesterdays answer was much better.
 
Apparently we've recalled Danny Ward from Aberdeen, so I guess that's Bodgan out of first team duty now.

I make that 4 players recalled this January? Maybe Klopp is waiting til Summer to spend afterall. I know we've got injuries, but it seems odd recalling so many kids for a few games

If he doesn't recall them and have a look at them, how will he know if he wants to keep them past the summer?

God knows why we went for Bogdan in the first place. Was an embarrassing signing at the time.
