Yeah, get Origi back if there's no money in t'barrow or realistic options available We ain't even got a first striker right now he's back at t'factory
Unless some moron plays him for 5 consecutive games which he obviously is unable to do and makes him look awful, he's a good backup.
Coming off the bench, holding the ball up, adding physical presence and helping us see out results. His passing is very neat for a striker to.
Suarez clearly wasting his time at Barca, can't even beat Moyes Sociedad. We should offer him a way back to a team that doesn't lose to a Moyes team.
Origi coming back? Didn't we have to pay like £5m to get him back early or something? Not keen on that, as puts even more pressure on him to perform
What if the reason he's not currently performing isn't down to pressure? What if he's already moved clubs in his heart?
Question is, will he make the difference in this 6 months that gets u 4th / wins us a cup? I'm not sure... I'd rather save the money and wait till the summer where he can get a proper pre-season under him with the new team and use that £5m to go towards a £20m signing. Also, I can see it happening, he comes here, everyone thinks he's going to save our season and he's average and writes him off and wonders why we ended up paying £15m for him
He's a much better fit to our style and system than Mario, Rickie and Fabio and lets be honest, he can't really score less goals can he But in answer to your question; no, he won't save our season. I also agree that some will have that expectation so he has the potential to quickly become another scapegoat in our ranks.
Reading the rumours apparently Shaqiri wants Inter Milan? Very strange because WE'D beat Inter Milan right now and Serie A is a bit desperate. Hopefully Bayern just want money because we seem to want him outright. (Di Marzio)
he is swiss therefore has a much greater affinity to italy. he has also turned us down before in effect staying at bayern. in italy there are a lot of tax avoidance measures so he will be paid more in effect. Frankly if LFC want the guy they need to turn in at bayern with a real bid that scares off the bargain hunters and forces him to decide. I don't even think we are seriously in for him.
Rodgers wanted Lallana over Shaqiri in the summer so he may be a bit miffed? - I certainly would be. And the attack is the last thing we need to worried out - our defence and DM need sorting out. Cut out of the avoidable goals we've been conceding and we won't need to be scoring 3 to beat the likes of Leicester at home. I didn't want to bring Origi back because I felt he would be better served in Ligue 1 and gaining as much first team football as possible. But it appears he's been playing out on the wing, in a boring defensive side and the fans are turning on him. It's not a good environment for him to be in so it would be good to have him back. But we simply cannot be relying on him alone. Sell Borini and Lambert as the former is simply not good enough, and the latter is useless and doesn't fit our system.
we were turned down by the kid it seems. lallana or markovic instead..i dunno which but in the end we bought those two so shqiri would be tossing another on that pile and not solving other issues. I do agree CM and CB need work but striker is in bad need of work too.
Wouldn't say no to a striker but we have goals already in this team. What we don't have is a boss DM who will save us goals and dominate midfields.
They would have sold if they got the right offer. Why else would they let Shaqiri waste 6 months of his contract thus reducing his value? ... Truth is - Rodgers wanted Lallana as his marquee signing therefore spunking that money up the wall.
