Mr bony told the crowd at swansea he was staying as he celebrated his goal (and missed 4 sitters) he's signed a new contract.

I've an NEW standard for picking lfc players.

using google images i've decided that if a play has a bad haircut picture out there he cannot play for LFC.

    I found this

now sorry but f me that shoudl've been a warning sign.

add balotelli's hair cuts... well the trend is clear.

    Trapp has rejected us.

Look I would be buying similar for sure. But a striker has to be on the list. simple as.

Lacazette is good. Bender is good, GK is a hard call. Begovic is out there still... Lloris is the best keeepr in the prem not at a top 4 side <whistle>

Really? That's a shame - he's got a buyout clause of only 4m EUR. Think he has immense potential.

Lacazette is the one we need. Such a quality player IMO who is now developing a big reputation on the continent. And he fits our system - he can play alongside Sturridge in a 2, he can play by himself or play on the wing. Fast and hard working.

Lars Bender would be a top signing for the central midfield - he's more B2B than DM so someone like Wanyama or Carvalho would be ideal.

Begovic isn't special IMO - he's good and solid but that's about it. Lloris would be ambitious given our current situation.

And following on from your new standard for signing players for LFC - I think we should look to signing quality players rather than mid-table average players for inflated prices.

Carvalho is just too in demand and 30mil is too rich for us.

Its one top striker and then try to find some value.... I THOUGHT can was meant to be said value.

I think in general if Rodgers had kept his vast sums for top performers this summer he'd have plenty of kids and young player to fit round them.

I mean moreno (12) can (10), ilori, wisdom and ibe just to name a few to fit round top top talents. Markovic, balotelli, lallana and loven = 81million pounds... EIGHTY ONE. you could get 3 really good players for that... really good and the names are well bandied about.

I'd rather buy a 26-28 year old who'd a worker and a pro like jackson martinez and be done with it... than risk it all on a balotelli play.

everyone knows what you get for 40mil from porto <ok>

Lacazette is good and developing. but it would have been a bit of a risk last summer. this year it looks like in hindsight no risk at all... he will be tops for the next 5-8 years

what do you do... oh buy balotelli instead <doh>

If we are city with all the money in the world yes carvalho all day every day for me... but bender should be what 10mil at least less than carvalho. we'll see though i'm not sure his contract really lets us bid cheap

Then keepers: for me hugo lloris is utterly wasted at spurs.. he is the next van der saar... If not him then buy peter cech if cheslea would let him go.. the man is tops. has 5 years in him and all.

Then as for CBs? F it I dunno... If utd get varane out of real for half noting there's no reasoning in the world. that boy is class.

Varane and Sakho would be mouth watering.

The young lad from BAsel, Scharr is a top quality player already and is still young. His contract is running out soon and he would be very good at RCB.

Both compliment one another. Sakho is aggressive and Varane covers. Both are intelligent players and confident on the ball.

Is there any way we can merge with the French football federation so that we can get Lloris, Varane, Benzema, Matuidi and Valbuena? They would improve us no end.

    Plus RHC would explode <ok>

France have developed some quality players recently - the national teams should be challenging for cups over the next decade.

Pogba is another one . <ok>

    Liverpool and France dream team:

    Lloris
    Flanagan Verane Sakho Moreno
    Matuidi
    Pogba Cabaye
    Sterling
    Sturridge Lacazette

I replace the whole main body of our midfield and only 1 in each other area. Says a lot.

Cabaye should be available and quite possibly for a cut price. He would make a great start for put the spark back in to our midfield.

We then have to concede to realism, sign a different DM and play Henderson or Can in the other role.

    Forgetful me.

Flanagan is a great talent with a lot of passing. Solid defensively and very neat and flexible passing.

His playing styles not pretty, which is why people under estimate him. But look past that and you'll see a very reliable player.

Personally, I think he's an average defender. His passing has improved ... to an average level which I expect from everyone.

Struggles in the air, struggles for pace, inconsistent positioning.

Good back up at best. <ok>
