Sounds like Chelsea have agreed terms with eKitkat. So only a matter of time before Chelsea sell more of the family silverware to themselves to be able to buy him.

It's a classic chelsea move.

Buy a player

Immediately buy the players replacement.

Usually this means a player like delap will end up on the scrap heap as they've only done it as they see him as cheap and easy to flog after a loan out

I've no sympathy for any player who joins chelsea.

I said "Liverpool is the best team in the world" and Bisc said that looks wrong and he would say "Liverpool are the best", I agreed that Liverpool are the best because both statements are true.

You can't get away from the lyrics of the chant "we're the best football team in the land". We is just doesn't sound right. :cool: (joke btw).

With kelleher and TAA going for £22m-£28m that’s also pure profit from a PSR perspective. Now I know we aren’t in huge danger of going over, but does give you that extra bit of wiggle room to maybe stick an extra £10m on Wirtz without it being a huge issue.

If he's going to Saudi it's a shame to be 'retiring' from football so soon. I hoped the club would have offered him a bigger salary to keep him, he's not on a big wage. Might be nothing in it.
 
I think Diaz is a funny one. Given his age and contract situation now is the most valuable he’ll ever be.

The question has to be, are we happy to take 70m for a player who probably won’t be first choice (gakpo/Wirtz left wing or Wirtz/new Cf in the middle). Otherwise you give him a new contract and say he’s ours for next 3 years and maybe be happy to see him move for £20-30m when he’s 31/32.

Feel if we move Diaz and Nunez on then get another CF then still pretty covered up top in left wing and cf positions.

Diaz has been great and offered something others didn’t with dribbling and taking men on but Wirtz offers that if he comes. Diaz never been consistent over a season, always little purple patches so although sad he be going, I think £70m for him to use towards a CF and Kerkez deal is probably worth it.
