Klopp total spend in 8 years: About £756m. 35 bought, 21 free (mostly youth) So while Klopp has spent £328m more, he's had 7 more years to do it. At EtH's rate he'll have passed that total spend by next summer.

I am on about what a team has cost, not what a team gained from player sales. If someone pays £250m for Mbappe but sells 6 players to help fund it will Mbappe have only cost £60m?
Some clubs, like ours, have to sell to buy. As already highlighted we had to sell our best player (at the time) to fund two world class players. We can’t just buy expensive flops (repeatedly like you lot have) and compete. We have to be smart. Glazers have chucked obscene amounts of money at your club and you have been **** for over a decade. What the team costs is irrelevant in a well run club, it’s all about what it has to do to get there.
I know you don't like the fact you broke records for Keeper and Centre half so stick to the net spend poor old Liverpool who build teams on a shoe string and all will be fine

We have overspent for decades mate, no point in trying to justify that. All i am pointing out is that other teams also spend big to poor effect too but call on the Rafa inspired "net spend" to negate it.
You’re point is just silly though because you have spent poorly and you’re trying to down play “net spend” as something that is pointless or bollocks. When you know in reality that your club can afford to be reckless and make **** buys, whereas we had to be smart, and smart we have been. In fact it’s what makes Klopp even more of genius than pep. You can say we have spent £1 billion, or £1, but how we were able to do so was through selling players.
