is what it is. no point raging against it. We are getting our little stadium work and while its neither shiny nor as over priced as spurs it has to be funded and paid back by the club. 8mil a year to FSG on main stand and totally self fun the anfield road end (these guys are really cheap) We don't have a holding company where non playing staff wages are filtered into the nothingness like some oil state clubs etc every single person is paid for our of the clubs funds. We are paying a lot of players quite a lot of money we apparently are the 4th highest payers with city only 5 mil head of us on playing staff. (how corrupt must they be lol). we pay 90mil less a year and man utd in wages for players... apparently. At the end we will maybe increase the transfer fund to 50mil a year once the stadium is paid down. LOL We have alisson to sell next cos kelleher can pass the ball about but vvd is irreplaceable
Think its simply Salah (and his agent) saying "I'm the best player in the world and this is what I want" whilst refusing to budge. We either cough up or cash in
which is fair enough and no issue. Its far more honest than some who seek to string people along. If i have the fans singing my name every move i made I'd be making damned sure they stayed on my side as the contract runs down. Salah has FSG by the short and curlys here. they can only look the bad guys.
The fact that Mo keeps saying he wants to stay plus absolutely smashing it on the pitch, is putting the ball in firmly in FSG's court. It really is up to them now to see if they cave in to the demands .
If the buck stopped with Salah it might be worthwhile to cave into his demands... But I'm actually worried if we give Salah what he wants there will be players like Mané, Firmino,TAA, Virgil who all say... "OK, I'm not Salah, but I'm important too! If Salah gets 400k, surely I'm worth at least 325k".
Very strong rumours that Salah will go to PSG this January with Mbappe coming the other way. You heard it here first
Yes it is but there you go. If we are selling we want the max price and now is the time. Not a queue of clubs though so the price wont be coutinho levels of eye watering. The lad is 29 but bullet proof, never gets injured and is dedicated as hell but put another 4 years on him and no matter how great he might not be physically up.to it and a burden by the end. It's about how do you get the next one in cos we sure as hell have nothing within a country mile of his ability, attitude and work.
We will be able to say with better clarity five years from now... Honestly seeing the wage demands and worrying about how that might damage the club in the future if it dominoes to other players demanding more money, so we can no longer afford transfers- I would forgive FSG for selling. Don't want to see him go, but it would be forgivable assuming we get a boat load of money for him. Mbappe's wages are as bad or worse concern as Salah's. That said, ignore money. Salah is very much a player for today... He's getting old, incredibly fit still, but for how many more years? Mbappe potentially has more years in the future ahead of him. So probably could be more sensible long-term... If he stayed and didn't bugger off to Madrid in a few years. Forgetting money though, forgetting age... I'd take Salah. Besides, Mbappe would probably end up moving due to restlessness before Salah hangs up his boots anyway.
Mbappe is a **** head. Hes the equivilant of dembele in a **** league with everyone fawning all over him. A pogba without blue hair. A neymar but worse.
From inside PSG: ‘dites à vos amis stupides que Mo Salah jouera à Paris en janvier et que les propriétaires du PSG ont approuvé un accord d'échange avec un grand jeu supplémentaire au LFC.’
