Sadly there's 3 completely made up rumours that should be posted to restart this thread's normal boring topic

Bellingham, onuachu and adeyemi all linked by people wanting publicity

Loll I have no faith in the club in getting someone like Bellingham. The Echo wrote a piece saying that we couldn't pass on an opportunity like Bellingham - 12 months later, they'll be writing an article saying that we passed on Bellingham because the club thought an u18 from the academy would be a better option.

    Quite.

Would be a great catch if we could get him though. I think the BBC gossip thingy is saying that Bellingham hinted at a move to LFC - from the Star, so must be true.

80mil? forget it. we missed the boat when he was at birmingham.

Same for haaland. 20mil easy fee. bought minamino.

same for delle alli and then spurs ruined him. 5mil was all it required. The fact spurs turned his head will bullshit and made a no 8 in to a no 10 who can't defend properly is beside the point.

We are far too conservative, if you look at our list of buys its great but it really is look for 4 years and see when they move to a bigger club can they take it.

IF you then look at our loan list i simply don't see a revenue stream there any more. Where is the next grujic even?

This does make me laugh. It’s almost as though we all know the exact circumstance at the club, the player, agent etc etc.

we have a very strong starting 11. Two years ago, some of these players would have not come because they wanted to start and develop.

personally, I believe that as our team ages, gaps will open up that will attract some of the prospects and I fully expect the club to be in for them, assuming that we don’t already have or have bought them in our youth set up (like Elliott)…..blind faith maybe? I’m actually more worried that Klopp will go in two years…..this would be the biggest issue of all.

By the time Klopp leaves, most of our current XI will be over 30. The time to start investing and refreshing the squad was now but we didn't.

He is the perfect type of midfielder for us and dare I say it, the Stevie G replacement. But unfortunately, we will be priced out of a move for him and we will pretend that we were never really interested.

That would be nice but its not really how football deals work.

Itll be done or not done when the players contract situation comes up. He is contracted to the munches until 2024.

If we have a bid next summer theres no assurance Bayern etc wont come in.

He is now in the german squad and value is only going up.

    Jota, tsimikas, konate.

Let's just be clear we have a good nucleus of a squad for that date.

    Alisson
    Trent gomez konate tsimikas
    Elliott Fabinho jones
    X x Jota

We need 2 forwards very soon, then the cm thing is something the kids need to stand up and convince us

Let's not get over negative about the thing. Very strong base already in place. We need to buy and show more ambition as frankly I would tell klopp straight to his face he is mad if he thinks minamino and origi are real options

Football deals are done in a few different ways, pre contract agreements being one of them. It wasn't suggested that he has one with us although there was a rumour he had one with Bayern which he has refuted. It's just another rumour I've read from a proclaimed 'insider' <whistle>

the laws of the game preclude them as he has a contract til july 2024. He cannot sign one legally until January 24.

Agents can be giving signals and all that good stuff but unless LFC do a deal with munchers with a precontract like we did with keita then we cannot deal with the player.

The guy fits many of the requirements but not all of them.

Age. (even getting on a bit ;)
    Physique
Position Left midfield slot/ even attacking midfield like a 10 slot.
Passing: wide range of ability, plays on the half turn and will pass vertically rather than laterally, especially good at longer passing.
    dribbling: some ability
Mindset: drop into the back line and make that extra body showing for ball. Ideal for us.
pressing/transition: not so good. would need to learn to work faster in transition and not get caught.

I'd say if people wanted a cheaper coutinho here you go. plays on the half turn, can pass and dribble a bit and shoot
