There are a lot of big name, big money rumours regarding us atm. Either FSG are about to invest a serious amount of money or we’re about to sell one of the big boys…..or there’s going to be a lot of very disappointed people on here!

The latter.
Rumours fly about every window - I'd take no notice until something happens. Few of those spreading the rumours have any idea of what's going on, it's just paper talk.
FSG won't "invest" in that sense - it isn't the way they run things.

normally I’d agree with you. However, didn’t FSG just raise £500m or similar? Shareholders will be asking where they will invest it - now is the time to invest, prices are relatively deflated….M&A activity in general business is very active because there is nowhere else to put your money….I’m in the camp of ‘unlikely, but possible’ <laugh>

my understanding is villa are VERY firm on their position and want to offer the guy a new contract first and really don't want to sell. 88mil is vastly over rating his diving ability.

i can see this all kicking off if england get through to the next round and frankly these players (sterling, grealish, kane) ought to be told no questions, no soclai lemdia, , no comments to press and have that hard line round camp until england are done with euros (might be 2 days or 2 week)

You know what, I don't care how much he'd cost, I'd love us to sign Mbappe. Such an exciting and entertaining player to watch and I'm convinced we'd win with him in the side.
