From BBC website transfer news.

The agent Jurgen Klopp has said the former Borussia Dortmund manager may choose a club outside of the European elite.

"The Premier League is very exciting," said Marc Kosicke. "And we do not only think about the top four because there are some other great clubs below them. But I am not sure the profile of the job could work."

The German has been linked with Premier League clubs including Liverpool since leaving Dortmund at the end of the season.

Agent has to keep his name up. He will be working hard

If you think bad on telly has sold a single shirt since say October you are nuts. That's the weakest frigging excuse yet to have him.

This one in two malarchy is also balls when a young lad might only debut at 22 in a top club.

In fact is all just thinly veiled jibes at Ings having given up on indefensible bashing of milner

Jimmy isn't wrong though. Balotelli is pretty much a 1 in 2 striker (look at the stats).

Whether you think he plays like one is a different matter.

With respect to Ings goal output vs someone like Vietto. The minutes do matter. Effectively Vietto has doubled the goals that Ings has scored. As a team Burnley were fairly attacking (usually playing with 2 strikers and 2 wingers) and played to his and barnes strength (hoof it to them on the counter and press as a team).

Even if you play for relegated sides, if your team is attacking as a striker you will get goals. Ulloa got as many goals playing the equivalent of 6 less games. Cisse did it in a third of his minutes.

Ings is a good signing at his price (his price being around 5m), but there is an awful lot of optimism for a striker whos going to be effectively a backup.

Is right.

You only sold 800 of the ****ers when he signed ffs, and the total revenure for that (not profit) was circa £50k, or less than half a week of the big lumps salary.

At the moment we are by far the most successful PL team in the transfer window

  • Beat Man City and Arsenal for the signature of an experienced top 4 midfielder
  • Signed a young proven homegrown striker for nominal fee and wages
  • Tens of millions of pounds of wages saved from non-starting XI players no longer on the books

You're right - people across the globe are lining up to buy LFC shirts with Milner's name on the back loooool.

Indefensible? You say £150k is a PAR wage for Milner!! And you have the audacity to mock my arguments??

He wasn't a 1 in 2 striker for Inter or City

My apologies - he was 1 in 3, and improved each season. Bear in mind he is still only 24.

Point I'm making is that his record wasn't bad at these clubs but completely nose-dived at LFC. So we can all blame him or we can actually look at other factors as to why he failed.

Exactly - with Ings, Downing and also Lallana, it's easier to look good and inflate your figures when ALL attacks go through you.

When you move to Liverpool, the attack don't go through unless you're special. When you get less of the ball, you don;t have as many opportunities so it's crucial that when you do get it, you make it count. This is why these players eventually fail.

Funnily enough, I was in a chirpy mood this morning and thought I'd big up Ings and even Milner to some extent. But when the same people have a go at me for criticising such players, but do exactly the same towards players like Mario, Marko, Moreno etc, I find it hilarious and hypocritical.

Is there an emoticon where I can stick 2 fingers up at the c*nts of the board?

How much is he getting?

You are completely missing the point.

None of us are loving his signing we are merely shaking our heads at the sniping and knocking and I'm sorry whining going on at his signing. Half this board have said he's back up. Nothing more but you'd swear he was ched evans the way some are commenting.

And badontelly got a few with a Milan taking all frees and pen and was not at city nor at inter where your own Mourinho ****ed him out for being a nutter.

You've epically failed when every comment is a snide little go dressed up and then proceed as you call it to big up the worst signing lfc made since carroll in badontelly.

And even milner.. talk about back handed.

My advice is to go take a look at the reality of the situation and come back when you realise lfc are not all that, have not been all that for 7/8 years and we have to get the hg quotas right, the whole club set up fixed and a stadium built before we will be anywhere near ready to challenge anything.

In the end Ings at 5 Mil = no lose. Bad on telly at 16mil is no win. It was day one and it is certainly an 8mil bath we have to take.

I believe Astro was referring to the fact that this season (the one just finished) you've been paying 100% of Nani's wages, 120k?, for him to play for Sporting.
I guess Ings will be receiving about 30-35k pw, which would be about a 1/4 of Nani's wages.

As a free with tribunal I'd suspect Ings will be on 50k or so. No way is he going to be on 35k alongside ibe. That's going to be average prem wage guys

Right another snide little dig at milner.

Answer the point Jimmy. Any reds fans buying balotelli shirts... I'd really love to know.

As for wages if that's your issue get real. It's half the top earners in this league and basically what he had on offer elsewhere.

If we offered 75k you'd be first to moan when he turned out for arsenal in cl as cm

People only bring up Marko, Moreno & Mario because you defend them blindly as they are your favourites but slag players off that haven't played a minute of football with us yet
