It's a good strategy. Buying top young talent, try to get them into the first team but if not, sell them at a profit.
I suppose, depends who we get rid of. However I can't see us buying two new strikers as we already have Studge, Ings and Origi. Plus Balotelli, Lambert and Aspas who we want to get rid of.
Even if you managed to shift mad Mario, Borini, Aspas and Lambert I don't think you'll be bringing in 2 more, as you already have 3 for next season. I'd have money on you not even buying another 1 until all of the current deadwood have been moved on either.
That's my worry, or rather, that they want to move them all on, but one or two can't be shifted and we end-up with no more new strikers. Hoepfully the club will buy a striker regardless. Or we'll just keep Balotelli as our fourth striker.
I don't mind some fans bigging up Ings and trying to justify the signings, but comparisons with Vietto are ridiculous. There's a reason why Vietto is far more highly regarded around Europe, and why hardly anyone has heard of Ings: Vietto is younger, scored more goals, only started 17 games compared to Ing's 35, whilst playing 1,140 minutes less, and done it at a better club at a higher level.
Aspas is gone effectively already. old news. "I came here on a loan deal with an obligatory option to buy," the former Celta Vigo player told ESPNFC. http://www.thisisanfield.com/2015/05/iago-aspas-to-leave-liverpool-permanently-this-summer/

Was unmanageable at inter Caused mayhem at city Got a to mid table Sulked and played sick at lfc See.... There's two sides to everything.
Poor vietto. He had nobody to play with while Ings was surrounded by worldies in a league with no good teams. Poor Ings. .. no love here
So good I feel like finding a donkey with a bow tie for borini. A donkey with a mohawk for bad on telly and just some old pony for lambert Very good tobes
Depends on how Rodgers wants to set up next season - if it's 4-2-3-1, then we only need 3 strikers i.e. Sturridge, Origi and Ings which simply isn't good enough. Unless Origi goes out on loan, and we keep Balotelli but he doesn't suit playing as a lone striker, in which case we need a starting quality striker for when Sturridge is injured. Sell Lambert, Aspas and Borini first and foremost. For some reason, I'm not convinced we will sell Mario despite how badly Rodgers wants to. a) Whether you like him or not, the manager has not played to his strengths b) He is a 1 in 2 striker throughout his career except here at Liverpool. Is that down to the player or the manager. c) He's probably now the biggest name at the club. With that, he sells the most shirts, and is widely liked outside of England.
d) No-one else would want him for an acceptable price. e) He will be given more time to settle, perhaps the chance to link-up with Sturridge more. f) FSG will force Rodgers to make the most of the bad purchases. I think there's a definate chance of Mario staying.
From BBC website transfer news. The agent Jurgen Klopp has said the former Borussia Dortmund manager may choose a club outside of the European elite. "The Premier League is very exciting," said Marc Kosicke. "And we do not only think about the top four because there are some other great clubs below them. But I am not sure the profile of the job could work." The German has been linked with Premier League clubs including Liverpool since leaving Dortmund at the end of the season.
If you think bad on telly has sold a single shirt since say October you are nuts. That's the weakest frigging excuse yet to have him. This one in two malarchy is also balls when a young lad might only debut at 22 in a top club. In fact is all just thinly veiled jibes at Ings having given up on indefensible bashing of milner
