These football commentators have an obligation to at least get the players names right that they are reporting on. It doesn't take much research. Yasser Lasouri ???? It's Larouci. Like the commentator calling Minamino - Minamina. It's not even hard to say, you say what you see. Jamie Redknapp possibly wins the prize though for Gigi Wijnaldum
What a tit head I am discussing a players strengths and weaknesses on a football forum, the very idea.
martin Tyler constantly calls Kante the ex chelsea manager and current inter manager conte for some reason.
....Like you say, it doesn't take much. He says Lasouri several times as well. He can't see it happening?..........it probably will
There are some names that are hard to pronounce, admittedly, but this isn't mispronunciation, it's laziness in not even trying to get it right. With regard to Lewis for Larouci, I'm not convinced it's a good swap. I trust Klopp to get it right though.
Harvey Elliott:“Yeah, I play left-back against Mo. To be up against him and to see what he does, how he moves, the way in which he changes his speed; he’s world-class and so tricky to deal with. If I can keep up with Mo, then I know I’m doing OK! I look up to him a lot.” That's LB sorted
One is 22 and played 90 games for Norwich and is highly rated. the other is 19, played 0 pro games and doesn’t want to sign a new contract. Think Lewis would be brilliant signing if he’s happy to not be straight into first team. His style is much more akin to Robbo so won’t lose that attacking width that we do when milner covers there which then forces everything down the right and make us easier to defend.
Exclusive: Liverpool have submitted an offer of £10 million to Norwich City for left-back Jamal Lewis. They have also offered them a substantial sell-on clause. - James Pearce
That irritates me - I've no idea where he gets that from. Also, commentators pronouncing Firmino like it was Firminho. Pulisic with a hard "c" at the end is also annoying. I believe the player himself says it this way, but he is a Yank so probably can't pronounce his own name properly.
I'm not against the signing I just think both players are back up players so can't see it making much difference having a more experienced player on the bench.
