Simon Mignolet set to join Club Brugge. Due to undergo medical tomorrow. Liverpool will look to sign a new No2.

£6m

I thought he’d go but didn’t think would be this late. Must have a back up lined up? We’re linked with ehteridge from Cardiff while back.

Well, even if I'm the only one I'm going to say thanks to Mignolet for his time at the club. We all know his all-round game wasn't good enough for the team we want to be, but he was a decent shot-stopper and had a good record with penalties, and wasn't as bad as many on here made out, imo.
I'd have been content for him to stay as back-up, but I'm sure he wants to get more game time so good luck to him.

And I echo your sentiments <ok>

No doubt Mig was a decent keeper. Probably at the level of anyone’s outside top 6 to be honest. Just wasn’t good enough with ball at his feet unfortunately which is the direction top keeper so are going.

He was certainly good enough second choice but can’t blame him for wanting to move for first team football.

Spot on <applause><applause>.

I'd argue had Mignolet been in goal for the 2018 CL final we might have won.

I feel we did a disservice replacing him with Karius (replacing him with Allison was fair)

Served us well but you've got to question your role at a club when Karius is deemed better!
