There’s no denying that we had a more balanced team since his departure...scored less but conceded a lot less.....you’ll never know how much of that is because of the midfield balance though - adding the players we did PLUS having Coutinho/similar could mean that we have the best of both - impossible to predict.

The Englishman premium has really increased. I like Maguire and think he's a good CB but that seems a little steep even in today's inflated age.
I don't think he was that bad; not too bad at LB for a bit either. Never made sense that it was either him or Carroll on the pitch.
