The press said we were in talks with the club and we told the local rag it was complete lies and went further and said we had no interest.

Their president actually said we were talking direct to player but not to them. ... or in other words engaged in hearsay that cant ge disproved.

All I am saying is if we do tell the local rag we have no interest in a particular player then I take that on face value.

The people trying to drum up a sale continue to push the players name. It's in his clubs interest to get a big fee so they talk away

I'm not saying the approach isn't long winded and very thorough... but we might have been scouting Pepe for 5 years and we as fans generally wouldn't know until rumours like this start appearing.

MITO tries to be controversial and was doing a decent job of it for a while but just goes way too far nowadays. It's embarrassing.

Which is fine. But we have specifically denied it so why bother worrying about it.

If he gets back from acon and it all kicks off fair enough but there's a very good chance it all fake esp the Everton link

We've denied everything bar VVD (but never confirmed it) since Klopp arrived ffs.

We even said we wouldn't be signing any players a couple of times but still did!

A list of players we are interested in because we've been scouting them for 18mths. If they're not in the list, they're not coming in...
