See we’ve made a huge pre tax profit rising from 40m to 125m - striking point is commercial revenue going from 17m to 154m?! Mainly due to 8 new deals in place - have to say that fsg and the people they’ve appointed to run that side of the business have been incredible. Obviously the run to the Cl final also helped but off the pitch probably best place we’ve ever been In which should allow continued investment into the team.

We are a good marketing machine now. We have massive exposure in Brazil, Africa, Egypt and the Muslim world in general due to the broad range of nationalities we employ. The race is on for the worlds first Chinese footballing superstar....any brand associating themselves with us will get an amazing reach. Utd did this years ago and look how they've benefitted. Everything is coming together. Just need to win something now.

I think it took them a couple years to really get things right but can’t fault them. Done a hell of s lot for the club

It's just being very well run. Since Klopp arrived, they've really pulled it together. Can't knock the running of the club in any way really.

IMO... the mistakes were made early and often but it shows what a basket case the club was for YEARS that the new owners had to learn the hard way from scratch.

I'd still like more real football men at the top of the organisation tree shaping the future. I still find that missing. Theres too high a risk of a woodward scenario happening post klopp.

Real football men don't pick their own players and foist them on managers or decided that the going rate is then not deliver a player.

They've learned and improved massively from it. Sure, they made mistakes early in their tenure but we can't judge them on that now can we?

I think some people just expected too much too soon. There was a longing for instant and significant improvement and perhaps a show of intent, but they're not sugar-daddy owners.
I felt from the start that they were going about it the right way - to build up a club with huge global potential into a commercial success (it's sad that football is measured in these terms but that is the modern world). The only concern was whether they'd turn out to be charlatans like the previous pair, but that fear seems to have subsided now.
They built the club up shrewdly, without taking too many risks, so all that remains is to use that financial power to fashion success on the pitch. It's just a shame that even with their business acumen they'll struggle to compete with oil-rich billionaires.

just a statement of fact. not a judgement.

what i am saying it what I've said many many times. when klopp goes all bets are off cos I don't see the structure to renew and sustain

Structure of the club is prob strongest it’s been. Off the pitch things are good and the scouting network are all synced with the manager. As long as get someone in who can work with the scouting team in sinilar way then should be fine in terms of transfers. Obviously depends how good the coach is will depend on the type of football or success on the pitch

I don’t agree. FSG have seen the benefit of having a top top coach and all of the structures that go with it. They’ll choose wisely. Look where Dortmund are now after Klopp! Teams progress and learn, so does the management team. Just my opinion <ok>

tbh.. given we have seen David Moore's and parry then g&h and purslow you can't be argued with.

but it's it strong enough... let's not compare to small time levy or wallace&from it Woodward at Utd...

I look at Bayern, city, juve, Barca.

I half (but only half) wish rafa would.come in when he is done and do a technical director role.

however that said there's a level of development to come.in terms.of a mature footballing side of the upper echelons.

picking the right coach is one part, the scouting, coaching and integration of all the levels so coaches and doctors, physio etc all can develop and progress is crucial.

if we seriously look down the table at everton we are seeing exactly the wrong things we did at outset. all coaches gone, new team.in, massive pay offs, next man in, chaos, dead wood on pitch etc etc.

when klopp goes i'm presuming the senior coaches go. my worry is fsg will turn to Gerrard and forget the lesson learned. I hope that's 5 years time... I'd rather pick the coach that matches our needs. a sarri, a emry.. they are out there.
